I work for Sky and we have more detailed info in our internal newsletter. This is only available for Sky apps - Sky Go, Sky Q etc.
It explicitly does not include Now TV and by extension no other third-party services you may have as part of your Sky subscription.

For all those wondering, tethering is allowed - so you can watch Sky Go etc. on your tablets and whatnot via tethering.
Brilliant just took a £3 1GB sim

Awesome for Sky to do this, the amount of content to watch kids/go/Q and not use data is a godsend
Would anyone be able to confirm if the ads actually use up the data allowance , because 30 minutes of ads in 1080p could easily be 1gb

I'm guessing they've free rated any IP addresses which are linked to the sky go app.
Awesome, just moved to Sky mobile in January!

The site states

Hope that makes it clear

Unfortunately I work in networking so I have no clue about customer and retail things, only what I can see in our newsletter, sorry! I would have to go ask customer service just like anyone else.

I've confirmed with one of the staff in charge of this that ads you see when watching on-demand may use your data allowance. A little vague but I'm pretty sure that it just means 'definitely will use'. On the other hand anything you watch live will not come out of your allowance.

Well Sky Go app is inclusive and it’s a app on Android, Apple and even Microsoft stores

The latter for Surface/Xbox Sky Windows App

The Windows desktop app should use the same servers, Amazon Fire & Mac also supported, links here sky.com/wat…all

Wait, I have Sky Entertainment n Sky Mobile (20GB £10pm), I can watch ANYTHING on Sky Go and my data won’t get used!?

Answered my own question. Answer yes with loads of other apps. sky.com/hel…M9g
Shame that Sky Go makes you watch adverts (sometimes up to 2m30s worth) before watching a film.
How long does the discount last for? Is it just the duration of the contract?
Hmmmm. Im currently abroad and have been using mobile as a hot spot for streaming nowtv as I have full 4g and it is faster than hotel broadband.

My data usage hasn't budged
