sounds OK,
in guessing it changes to full price after the month unless you cancel?
but don't you have to give 30 days notice to cancel things with sky

It says on T&C "For existing Sky TV customers without Sky Movies, trial ends immediately on cancellation." So should be fine to grab it.

Dont forget the small print -
Advance billing - £8.50-£16.50pm charge (depending on package and bill date) on 1st bill after trial starts, reimbursed on following bill if Sky Movies cancelled by end of trial. One trial per household, per year. 31 day’s notice to cancel.

I grabbed this last night - was told I could cancel in 5 days time (7th Sept) as it takes up to 31 days to cancel & I would still get the movies for the full month.

When I sign in to take advantage of the trial, it still wants to charge me.

Careful - I signed up to this a few months ago.....It knocked off my half price sky sports discount - check the T&Cs very carefully if you are receiving discounts on any package

Do be careful if you are on an old package, I have the old HD pack which gives me the F1 channel. I think that any modification in my package, ie. adding movies even if it is free, would then bring my whole accout to the more up to date channels and I would lose F1 as you now have to have sports to get F1. Once that mistake has been made there is no going back.

There are differing views on this on the sky forums but I won't risk it.

Same here and when I renew I am always clear I don't want any new channels....just what I have with the usual discount.

Just thought I'd have a look but it's not showing me this offer anyway,
Got a half price movies for 6 months but still £8.25

asked about free trial sky weren't very helpful only interested in selling further months at half price

sky weren't helpful just wanted me to buy movies after trial

Where are you getting 6 months? They were doing 3 months last I looked, too their 3 months half price offer just a few days back so the one month free is now 'off the table' anyway.
Don't know if I was imagining it but when I added the movies/sports hd pack(didn't realise you need to pay extra to get the hd/3d movies, thought it was covered in the hd/3d pack we already had with the family pack) got the '3 months sports for £1 a month' offer, went to redeem it and the browser crashed(was on the iPad not the PC) so lost it(I didn't take a 'screen shot' so no proof).

Yep I know it sounds stupid......but last time I had to cancel a sports package I had to speak to 3 different people, in what sounded like 3 different countries and spent 15mins. They are just a very frustrating company to deal with on the phone.

I've never had Sky Movies and contacted them for this offer.
Very helpful but because I already receive a Family pack discount I can't take out this offer.
Good offer for those that can so voted hot
BTW the Sky chap said you could cancel the package the following say and still receive movies for the month.

*Day not say

I phoned them today re cancelling and apparently you don't even need to phone them or give 31 days notice, all you do is at the end of the free trial period (31 days) go to my packages on on your sky account and cancel movies and they will credit your account with the amount you have paid on your next months bill, so rather than a straightforward free trial it's like you pay then get it refunded. They also told me the same thing on live chat so I think it's correct. Hope this helps.
