Just a little Christmas saving I found. If you have a Sky movie package that is £16.50 log onto your 'mysky account. Remove Sky movies. Click the option that says ' I can't afford it'
Confirm.
It will offer you the same sky movie package for £5 instead of the £16.50 for 3 months. Save £11.50 off your sky bill o we Christmas. You won't be cut off from your package unless you tell them you want to cancel.
I've just done this. Told my mum, she's done it, and both neighbours. We all have the confirmation. Worth a go to save some pennies.

you can use the same process if your paying full wack for sky sports too, just press cancel twice & they'll offer to reduce the cost by £11 a month for the next 3 months, no extra contract required, just done it myself.

Also had this offer on my sky offers;

Sky Sports £1 for 6 months: After the first 6 months standard price of Sky Sports applies, currently £16.50 extra a month for Sky Movies pack customers. After 6 months you will continue to receive the Sky Sports Pack, unless you give us at least 31 days' notice that you wish to cancel. General: Prices may go up during your contract. You must get any consents required (e.g. landlord’s). Prices for Direct Debit payments only. Continuous debit/credit card mandate costs 50p pm. UK residential customers only. This offer is not available with any other offers. Further terms apply. Correct at 14 October 2014.

Thanks for keeping Sky Movies as part of your package. We hope you continue to enjoy it

This confirms your request to keep Sky Movies and continue your subscription for 3 months at £5 a month, saving £11.50 a month on the normal price.

It may take up to 3 days to process this request and for it to appear on your account.

Check out all the great stuff you get as part of your package at no extra cost.

Will a similar thing happen with sky sports?

Do you then have 12 month new contract?

Sky Movies £3.50 a month for 3 months: Sky Movies for 3 months with £5.00 … Sky Movies £3.50 a month for 3 months: Sky Movies for 3 months with £5.00 off a month (currently £3.50 a month with Sky TV). After your 3 month offer period ends, you will pay the standard applicable price for Sky Movies customers with Sky Sports (currently £8.50 a month with Sky TV) unless you cancel your subscription by giving us at least 31 days' notice. Taking this offer will replace any existing Sky TV pack offers on your account (covers Sky Movies, Sky Sports or any of the TV bundles).

Thank-you very much, this just worked for me

Thanks £3.50 for 3 months:)

Just tried it ...Worked for me ... Thank you

Cheers OP, £3.50 for 3 months

Thanks very much £3.50 for 3 months fantastic very good deal

It says "this offer will replace any current discount on your package" - any views?

Yay £3.50 cheers

Cheers worked great

Gdgd :-) just done mine was on half price anyway but now only £5

I did this about 2 months ago. Went online to give 30 days notice and cancel Sky Movies and was offered this. After about 3 weeks I received an email saying that I couldn't have the offer and was charged full price with no discount, When I phoned up to query they had no idea of this offer and I had to give a FURTHER 30 days notice as the original notice didn't take place as I accepted the offer which 'didn't exist' !!!

That's great! All done.

thank you it worked

Just done thx

I just logged in as I fancy the movies for over the festive season, will cost me £25 extra for half price movies for 6 months, so looks like that option will remove any discounts you already have in place.

Quite canny if that's the case, I'd check your bill if you already have a discount in place on your whole package as this may well remove it.

Nice find OP! I currently have a 50% discount offer on my Sky TV package. If I use this Sky Movies/Sports offer online, will the 50% offer on my whole TV package be removed?
Edited by: "zen135" 17th Nov 2014

Yes Zen135 it will. It negates any existing discounts so don't do it!

Time will tell with the discounts. I've just done it. Fingers crossed

I've done the movies remove and keep to get it for 3.50 per month for 3 months, does anyone know how to get the sports reduced as well?

Anyone know if this ties you in again for another 12 months?

Thanks. Worked for me.

5 quid a month good share

I tried it but no luck. Did it a couple of times but didn't get offered any deal. Good find though if it works.

After your original 12 month period you only have to give 30 days notice. Also any extra channels you sign up to even in your first 12 months all have a 30 day cancellation so no you won't be tied in for a further 12 months

cheers!

Couldn't get it to work. Tried a couple of times.
Good find if you can get it though.

My current half price package expires in 3 months so would have to cancel Sky and go through the usual performance to start a new contract so might try this.

Great Just completed My Sky account adjustment for 3 months. Get as much offf Sky as you can when offered!!! A saving of £5 for that period is best saved in your pocket. These Guys at SKY make a bundle!! So it's so easy to do. Would recommend to make that "Krimbo" saving!!!

YES it will replace any other offer.

wonder how this will work with the months free trial that they offered last month? i.e. will I then get charged the full month previously if I dropped down to the half price sky offer?

There is a similar offer for sky go extra, think it's half price for 6 months.
