Is this half price for 6 months on a 12 month contract?

Just got Sky Movies for £7.50 a month (£15 after 6 months) with no tie-in from TalkTalk
If you're happy with NowTV, you can get the same line-up (on-demand only) for even less.

Rang up and Cancelled a month ago. Sent me an offer of 50% off any package plus £50 to come back. When I rang up, they couldn't offer the £50 cashback, but offered 60% off any package for a 12 months, which I took.

Yes, but your whole contract will be renewed for 12 months

The legal bit says 31 days to cancel, so not a 12 month contact offer...

Oops no.. it is at the end of the legal bit 12 month min. That's nice and clear then...

So basically it's £153. That's a cold from me.

Dont do it - send the message to murdoch that they are ripping people off.

They just want their claws in you.

Kodi tv free! more movies than Sky!

I took up the family package for £6.00 a month extra. After 1 month they increased the price to £7.50 and refuse to reduce the price to the agreed amount.

So the lesson here is don't trust Sky.

The T&C's do state that they reserve the right to increase the price.

However, if they do so you have the right to cancel the contract without penalty even if you are tied in to a 12 month deal.

You can watch Live too on Now TV. I just have a feeling that the only device you are unable to watch live on is Youview boxes E.g. TalkTalk and BT. Although I never see the point because they're usually all available on demand anyway. Much better investment. Especially with their offers that come up. I don't think I've ever paid more than half the normal price.

well i've just gone into my account and it's £14.70 a month

Google

Says half price and mentions £8.50 for Sky customers without Sky Sports and £4.50 for Sky customers with Sky Sports. I have Sky Sports, but when I click on the offer it has the "discounted monthly cost" as £15.88...
