SKY Q 2TB Variety, Box Sets, Unlimited BB, Anytime Extra Calls 12 months £16.31 Pricematch @ Sky

Call sky and say you've heard about a deal whereby you can get a sky 2tb (not 1tb) box, unlimited broadband, anytime extra calls for 16.31 a month with Curry's can you price match? And they will. They may - like did with me - put you on hold to confirm the 2TB Sky Q box- as normally the deal is for 1TB! Broadband speed is up to (depending on your area) 17Mbps.

- I am also NOT paying a £99 installation fee for the Q box - even though may say so at the bottom of my second email - you'll see it says about the fee. I called them and questioned them about this as wasn't initially paying this when signed the first contract today. They said £99 has been credited to my account so I'm not paying it.

Click on my Facebook status to see screen shots of my emails .. m.facebook.com/lea…f=1

ALSO.. I don't know how much everyone can get movies for.. But a sky salesman said he can get movies for £12 a month.. If anyone wants his number let me know.. & if anyone can get it cheaper let me know!!

That's not including line rental is it? Or is it?

i tried this this morning because i'm a new customer and getting mine installed on tuesday and they said they couldn't do it - i said i wanted to cancel and take the CPW offer and they said that if i did, i'd lose new customer status

Is the cpw offer price with line rental or is that added separately?

likely because they don't do it - i've just rung them and they've said as much.

no luck here, been awhile since i called retentions, they're not as willing theses days. cheers though

Superb deal if genuine and available to all. I'm considering leaving Virgin Media with the November price increase looming and this would be ideal, though somehow even if this deal is legit I think you would have to get hold of an extremely generous Sky CS rep to get all that for £16pm....

They did it for me - I'm a law student, not someone who needs to lie.

I simply asked if I need to cancel the contract with them (that I got today at £26 a month) and go to currys tomorrow to get the £16 a month, or can they just price match, they said they can price match. I didn't presume I'd need to record my conversation for proof geez people! I have screenshots of my emails.

You wouldn't lose new customer status if take the deal with Currys - which is where the deal (with 1tb Q box) is currently being offered. Call the number 0344 241 4414 and say to them do you need to cancel and take the deal with Curry's tomorrow or can they simply price match. They done it for me, so I don't know why they wouldn't do it for anyone else!!

How long has OP been a Sky customer for? I'm wondering whether ahem… customer loyalty may have a bearing on what is being offered.

I didn't myself until the lady said it on the phone - it was because the deal (with the 1tb Q box) is on at Curry's and I asked if I needed to cancel and take out the deal with them. Her reply was 'no, we can price match'.

I am a new customer.

I was in Cardiff town and asked at a Sky stall their best offer - I was told £26.31. I then seen (on this website) Curry's offer of £16.31 - I called and said I wanted that deal instead (but instead of saying 1TB I decided to say 2TB. Even the sky man on the stall after (when I texted him) said that was the deal he could have offered me yesterday.

Sorry I've just realised you can't see anything on the picture! Click on the link and you'll see my line rental has been reduced from 17 to 11:)

I'll give it another try, although i'm getting £210 cashback for the deal i've originally gone for which i'd rather not lose if i can help it, but jesus loves a trier i suppose

#edit

did ring back but a bit too late, so will try again tomorrow. it might be because i'm not ordering phone and BB, just TV as well.

Depends if sky sports are worth £30 a month to you..

You'll only reap the benefits of fibre if your area can access the top speeds.. Otherwise you're paying the extra for nothing

40mb expected and I get that now with BT. So guess fibre worth 10 extra and sports £20... Might have a try in the am. Was this all over the phone.. did they email confirmation or did you wait for letters?

have you got multi room?

Not sure Sky have heard of the term customer loyalty most of the best offers tend to be for new customers.

Contacted sky via chat and phone and they won't match price told me to go back to currys and do it in store as not available online or by phone

Actually, I would have said that telling porkies would be a very good prerequisite for a lawyer.

sorry but if you already had sky you could not take it out with currys as you have to not had sky for 1 year.

leanne333

PMSL.... Isn't the ability to lie the first thing they teach you...

I got the deal yesterday. over the phone, as currys could not complete transaction. TV Free,Broadband £5, line rental and sky extra calls 11.31. AND £10 upfront for delivery. connection in 2 weeks

just rung sky AGAIN and explained this offer and asked if there was any chance of any kind of price match and he explained to me that usually what happens is that when someone takes the television, tv and broadband that they can usually discount the television fairly heavily which I can appreciate.

Explained that i'm "only" getting the original bundle on my installation on Tuesday for £20 a month and said that my "friend" is getting the box sets bundle for 100% off, as well as everything else, so they're getting significantly more for a lot less.

Said i'm obviously not asking to have sky for 'free' because that's not realistic, but just whether or not it would be possible for some kind of parity in price or packages as my 'friend' is getting such a better deal.

So he went away for a bit and came back with two offers. Firstly i could choose the box sets package for 12 months at 50% off at £19 a month OR I could choose the complete bundle including sports and movies for 12 months at the price of £29.60 which, i think, is about 60% off.

As i'd said that £20 a month was pretty much my limit anyway, he made a particular point of saying that if i cancelled the Sports and Movies aspect of the complete package, the price would then drop to £15.20 a month for 12 months and I would retain all of the other aspects of the complete package, so basically box sets AND the full compliment of HD channels as well.

He also said i'd retain my £100 giftcard offer as well so of course i took it

I don't know if i've put my Quidco cashback at risk though, so i'll have to try and find that out but £15.20 a month is a no-brainer really. So thankyou Leanne and i can only offer my sincere apologies if you thought I was doubting your claims in any way

I phoned in the morning and they said they would not price match. Hank, did you ring a particular number?

I rang 0344 241 4414 and it sounded like he said it was tv technical support

I did kind of work my way around to it as well. I read out what Leanne was getting from the screengrab she kindly provided and adopted the approach of wondering if it was possible rather than outright asking for it. Don't know if that'll help, but good luck

Just phoned again and they priced matched with 1tb box not 2. So didn't grumble and accepted.

Might phone again to try and blag the 2tb box lol

Spoke to Virgin too. Unfortunately, went from £10 to £18 in August, going to £25 in November due to a discount running out and then price will increase by another £2 so might end up paying £27 by November for the exact same service.

Sky here I come.

Might phone sky and say a 'mate' of mine has managed to get the deal with 2tb box and can they please please sort me out.

i'm half tempted to tell the engineer who's coming on tuesday that i was promised a 2TB box just in case he's got one on the van!

keep trying. it took me three calls in the end so have another go. as i said to enigma, try not to ask right out for anything as they're usually ready for that. work around to it and ask them if it's possible or say something like "is there any kind of remote chance?".
