18 month contract... does anyone know if they do actually take the box back at the end of the contract or like the old boxes can you keep them?

They say £100 for 1TB Box, £140 for 2TB Box, £50 for Mini Box
It shows that price but when I click to upgrade it says 50 pound set up charge and 15 a month ??

Don't forget this will start a new minimum term for Sky Q.

If you have any current offers they may continue as 2 separate terms.

For example I have discount until December giving me ents for £11 kids, hd and Boxsets for £1each total £14 + £10 q experience price until December £24 pm. After December ents £27, kids, HD and Boxsets £5each + £10 experience total £52 for the duration of the 18 months.

This also doesn't take into account the inevitable April 1st price rise they will likely announce in the next 6/8 weeks of 10% on the base pack.

And even though you're paying to unlock UHD content on the box you still have to pay for HD. It doesn't revert to HD if no UHD available.

£7.50 if I recall and no charge for the box. Telling me it's £20 for 1TB box and £40 for the 2TB when I click through the offer.

I am out of contract now and still deciding whether to ditch SKY as I mainly watch Netflix and Amazon Prime. I think at one point they were offering Netflix free with SkyQ ?

No UHD on the mini boxes. no HDR on the main box.

This price is also available for customers who don't have Q at all when upgrading, not just those with one box.

I don't think there's HDR at all in the UK yet and they haven't confirmed which boxes will support it, unless that's changed?
I already have Sky Q, coming up saying £50 per mini box for me. Previously was £99 I guess. Was looking at them for kids room but they just watch YouTube on their iPads / phones anyway these days.

There's HDR in the UK just not with Sky.

They said 2019, then it didn't happen. Now estimating late 2020. It's like 1080p NowTV - while people keep buying then they won't need to invest in it. The main interest will be when Disney+ launches in the UK and people can get it officially, Sky are going to have to negotiate hard with customers and content contracts to keep customers moving forward.

Correct
Yes they charge you for the boxes if you don’t return. I’ve returned mine yet they’re saying the mini box hasn’t been returned (yet it was in the same box as the main one) on my second CEO complaint now as the first CEO complaint they told me I wouldn’t be charged - yet just had an email saying they’re going to charge me.
18 month contract. If you have an entertainment contract running as well you would have to negotiate a new deal price but good luck with that as they have your hands tied with this Q deal.
slightly off topic - does anyone elses main box keep cutting out for a second or 2 randomly? black screen then jumps back to picture? issue not with mini boxes just 2tb
surely they wouldnt ask for boxes that are 3-4 years old?

There's a big thread on AVForums about it doing it on LG TV's...is yours an LG?
You won’t get x4 free mini boxes at all.
Never.

You’ll get your first mini box for free if you don’t already have multi screen on Sky Q

What I think OP is trying to say is that you don’t need to pay per month per box, like the older multi screen on HD.

It’s only available when you phone them mate.

The price, at the moment, is £45 for complete Sky sports pack and full BT Sports.

I said no to them as I know there will be a discount down the line when the Premier League season comes to an end.

The new 1TB Q box is the box you’re referring to.

As for BT Sports, it’s an add-on, a bit like Box Sets pack, or Ultimate On Demand pack.
And has been available directly thru Sky since January 8th this year.

If I was to hazard a guess... Best waiting until the run up of the new Premier League season.
Between now and then... Take the cheapest between the two, without a contract, if you’re in the market.
Page doesn't seem to be working anymore
