I need a deal on just the mini boxes. They were £49 at one stage, but Sky haven't budged from £69 when I've tried.
Ouch

£69 is what I paid.

Yeah they don't seem to budge on the price.

Worth it IMO, we have got two mini boxes as well as the usual main box. You are paying for the sub so may as well have it in multiple rooms if you have at least one extra mini.
It says on the first line "watch UHD on 2 Tvs". Is that possible? I thought you could only output UHD to one TV from the 2TB Q box. And you were only allowed one 2 TB box.
Not worth it, I have it at my house, you can watch 90 percent of everything on the mini boxes but you cannot get access to things like the bt sport channels, the 4k is not possible on mini boxes and for there are a few other things not accessible and sky say I cannot access them from the mini boxes, only the main hub box but yet they do not allow for 2 of the main boxes in one house.
Also to get the 4k channels and some of these other extras they say you have to have a main box plus a mini box in the house, well then why not allow these stupid mini boxes allow for 4k I'd like to know. Anyone else had these issues?
Either way in my opinion I say save your money.

Even with the old Sky HD boxes BT Sport was limited to just the one box which I thought was ridiculous at the time. Yes it would be good to have UHD on all boxes but doesn't affect us yet as the TV in our bedroom is only HD. I wonder if the miniboxes are capable and a software update can enable it in the future,,,

EDIT

I guess my last point is moot. Seem the minis can't do UHD

But ridiculous, can't see why bt sport can't be used on all boxes in one household, considering its usable on mobile devices etc :/ strange, and no not capable and never will be from what I've read, thing that really annoys me is you have to have a non capable of uhd mini box just to be able to make the main box capable of uhd and in return it also means using Netflix through the box is only HD so I end up using it through the dedicated app instead just to get uhd

The BT Sports restriction is something that BT themselves have implemented it seems but the other shortfalls are down to Sky either being shortsighted or a chance to sell us all a NEW UHD minibox in a few months and make a big song and dance about it like Apple do with their tech.

Didn't know that about bt sneaky sh*ts and yeah I am waiting for that to happen but I will not buy it out of principle tbh! gonna take a good ol bite down on my nose
Ğlglllllllllllllllll ppppppppp
Regarding BT... Sky engineer told me a trick (I haven't tested it).

He said, when getting BT, order it for your Sky Q Mini box. They have no way of directing it to one mini box, so it comes through on all mini boxes (not the main box though). That way you can least get BT in multiple rooms. With the possibility of having an extra mini or moving a mini temporarily into your main viewing area when needed.

But yes, it's a sneaky and backwards restriction that really shouldn't be happening in 2019. Sky could at least offer the BT app in the app section, so it could be distributed that way. But I guess it's too much to ask.

Same here, it’s never a deal in the Q app either if your a platinum member. Would jump at £49 like it was a while back.
