I was previously paying £38.99 for broadband alone with Sky and was out of contact so called to cancel. I was quoted £32 for the same broadband package. I asked to speak to a TV guy to see if I could get value there. In the end I got a 2TB Q box which is £200 on their website, new broadband hub, multi-room and box set package for £50 per month (£15 install charge, unsure if this was simply because I'm moving into a new build in a month and need a line setup).

Betta than tbe 35% off they offered me! :@ cancelled and staying cancelled!

Said retention in the title, therefore anyone who is out of contract, and theres probably a right few.

Show me the price with a Sky Q 2TB and multi-room as well.

Did you definitely get the offer for the whole 18 months. I'm in a similar position ... but they only offered me the 48.99 for 12 months and then jumping to full price for the remainder of 6 months. Tried to tell me i could renegotiate price then ... but with a 6 month tie in hanging over me i couldn't see me being in a strong position

All were 18 months apart from the phone which is free as they just charge for calls and I never use it.

Edit: seen that sort of deal on their website. It also looked like a 1TB Q box, but only the 2TB does ultra HD.

Hi mate can you post your bill or any proof of this deal to help? Thanks

I was paying £58 a month for basic entertainment + hd pack + multiroom (no sky q box)
When I phoned up to cancel they laughed saying I was on an old tarrif and offered Sky Q at £34 p/month.
This is how they treat their loyal customers - by ripping them off.
Now on BT Tv and Netflix. Total cost £19 (BT sport included)
was sicknof subsidising Premier league millionaires anyway.

I would ring up again, as it's sometimes down to the ability of the call handler. Mine kept going to his supervisor to get the go ahead. I liked his style.

All the information you need has already been posted, it’s unreaoanble to ask someone to post their bill.

I've just cancelled my Sky subscription. They didn't offer me anything close to good enough to stay.
I've now signed up with Virgin for the first time. Got their VIP package, which is impressive, for £90 a month for 12 months, plus £250 cashback from topcashback. Works out at just over £70 a month, which I think is good value for what you get. Price goes up to £125 a month after 12 months but I'll cancel at that point.

Ask about their loyalty scheme as well (not sure if that's just something they say exists to keep you as a customer), but a friend went to cancel and they said they were a 'black level' customer with over 15 years, so they get everything for just £80 a month.

I still think that's a ridiculous amount to pay when you can only physically watch one thing at a time, but each to their own...

I wasn’t looking for a better deal in the end just a cancellation. Quite happy with the package I have put together now.

I don't know the meaning of the word unreaoanble.

@OP - Are you paying £50 a month or £73 per month because it says £50 in the title but on your bill it says £73?

I was offered a 2tb sky q box for free but i declined as i already have a 2tb 3d box.

£50. Some people said it was 38.99 on their website, but I think that was only for a TV bundle. Screenshot of £73 is website price.

I think its only the 2TB Q box that does 4K TV. No point spending around 1K on a 4K TV unless you only use netflix.

Spoke to dky today as our bill is increading in December. I was told bill will be £76 for sky tv with sports. "Thats it, take it or cancel, what do you want?" That was my answer! Who gets these cheap deals?

Are you still in contract? Sometimes its worth calling again to get a different advisor, or in a weeks time as the deals might differ, bit like the way currys update each Wednesday.

Ordered yesterday and guy called me to sort the line out today on new property so it would be ready. Really have been lucky on this one. I could only go with Sky or BT as they are the only Fibre in the area.

How do u get sports for 8.50?

Aw man. My bill goes up for sky+ in december.

Really want a good sky q retention deal. But with sky sports. The 2tb box for free. A multiroom. And a mini box. And anything else good e.g.boxsets

Also need my crappy 12mb internet upgraded.

Was gonna hold out til black friday to see what was about

But gonna take note of this thread. And monitor it.

Poor customer service from recent comments.

Why is this thread cold?

Not everyone can get it, some probably just see the price or just don't read what's on offer.

it was an offer on the talktalk tv boosts back in august when the tv started.

I’ve cancelled as just coming out of the £30 mse deal. Offered me same package for £40 for 18 months and sky fibre for £20. I’ll retry 7 days before contract ends mid November and see if I can better it as they are holding that deal for me until contract end date

Best I could get was £53.30 for Sky Box Sets, Sky Sports, HD Pack and Multiroom (£41.30 without Multiroom)

Adding Sky Fibre Max took it to £79.30, and £74.30 of Sky Fibre Unlimited.

Gone to Virgin who have much better offers on just now (£250 cashback on TCB and Quidco for a start)

I spoke to retentions today and got a good deal (I think so, anyway). Half price box sets and sport, with HD for £34.95. Just got rid of cinema. Then, as I wasnt a customer, asked about broadband as well. Got offered £16 p/month for unlimited fibre incl line, taking total bill to just under £51 p/month. Well chuffed, considering last month's sky tv bill alone was £75! Worth being patient and polite and going in with a specific desirable outcome. I told them I was looking at no more than £45 for the TV... Got offered at £10 less!!

How on earth do people get these deals?! After much fannying about with both Sky and Virgin, I've finally (and reluctantly) gone with the following from Sky:

Sky Q 2tb box
Multiroom, with 3 mini boxes - £12pm
Box sets bundle - £31pm
Movie channels - £10pm
Unlimited broadband and line rental - £20pm

Total £73pm, 18 month contract.

One-off costs for installation and 3 mini boxes - £280.

It's pretty much the same deal available to new customers currently. The only sweetener I could wangle was £45 account credit.

Don't all congratulate me at once.

I didnt go movies so thats a tenner off what I got. 😁 Guy said the deals on his list update each Wednesday i think. So ever changing. Currys guy said few weeks back we change deals on a wed.

Mine was Q, but only the 1TB box as that's the one I had with the MSE deal last November... so sticking with it.

Don't worry - next time cancel and wait for the inevitable phone call. Sounds like the deal I got when I rang to cancel.

I got a call back after 2 weeks and got an initial offer of current package -

Box sets,
Movies,
2Tb Sky Q and a mini box,
Zero install
£54 (£2 less than currently paying with a 4 yr old HD box) .

Said I would think about it and waited till near cutoff day. Wife got nervous and wanted me to accept this - called Sky retentions and was put through to a chap in the "Win back" team. He asked me what deal I was quoted - said it wasn't on the system. Repeating my offer I was bracing myself for a fight to get anything I was flabbergasted when he said - " £54 - we can do better than that - our current offer for that package is £43.80". I didn't argue !

Didn't go for broadband as neighbours only get 30Mb from Sky versus my BT Infinity rate of around 50-52Mb (speed check result over a few weeks). Need it for work and kids so paying more but feel good trade off atm.

Note that they may try and charge £10 administration fee for re contracting - got it credited quickly.

Obviously this is just my rate but if we share them at least others can have something to aim at !

Just got watch everything on my current box by Dec 8th - 30 odd Doctor Who episodes.
