Sky soundbox spread over 3 months - Pay initial £99 upfront and then the remainder over 3 bills - £299

Just received an email from sky to say that sky q customers can now get the soundbox and pay it over 3 months. Pay initial £99 upfront and then the remainder over 3 bills.

I know this will be little interest to many but it's what I was waiting for.

I'll get my coat as I'm not expecting it to be warm in here. Hope it is of use to someone though.

Has anyone who is with sky via app or online account, ever been able to see any notes under my help or similar ie from when you have spoken with sky advisor via phone, text or live chat etc? As I was informed by advisor on phone that even though I've now left sky I should be able to login sky account and see any notes on my account! But oddly advisor could not direct me to that part of my account as he said he was not familiar with sky account website. I asked if he could get someone else to help, then came back, saying unfortunately that part of sky account website was under maintenance

I've had it since day 1, its well worth the money. Huge upgrade if you're only using the built in TV speakers.
The deal is £299 for anyone who doesn’t have multi room.
Why not a non branded sky sound bar ?

Why not a non branded sky sound bar ?

You’d know if you read any reviews
Just logged into my account. Says it's available at £249 as a sky Q customer, pay £149 upfront and then spread the rest over 3 months. Pretty sure it's been £249 for sky Q customers for a while.

"£249
£799 for non-Sky customers and £249 for Sky Q Multiscreen customers. Customers can now pay an upfront payment of £149 then spread the payment across your next three TV bills"

Maybe the 99 upfront was a personal quote for me. Apologies for any confusion.
Do you have multi screen? May be the reason for the different cost of the box.
I got one for 250 being a sky Q customer and have been very impressed with the sound and the quality of the unit. Far better than a comparatively priced sound bar.

Same here, Q multiscreen customer as well. Guess you have to get the offer on email.
I've got an email this morning. Doesn't say what the upfront cost is. Just says it's £249 and can be paid over 3 months after an upfront payment.
When you leave sky in the future do you give the sound bar back like you do with your Qbox?
The soundbar is made by high end speaker manufacturer Devialet. Whilst its not up to their higher end speakers it is still a solid buy at £249 quid if you want a sound bar and your a sky-q customer. The retail price for non sky customers is a joke at £749 but as expert reviews says its probably the best value soundbar on the market at £249 expertreviews.co.uk/sky…box. Gets solid reviews from what hi-fi and other places at £249. the speaker is yours to keep so your not renting it for £249. The £99 quid down and three payments of £50 just make it easier to buy i suspect without a single larger outlay. Not sure why this is going cold, have some heat from me.
will this link up to samsung tv with the r6 speakers?

you might be able to get it to work but i'd say you would have a bit of a Frankenstein system at that point as the speakers won't match sonically. the soundbar is designed to provide center, front, surround and base all from one box. You can argue over how successful these virtual sound systems are at recreating sound in stead of using a multi speaker/amp setup but i wouldn't recommend doing what your thinking even if technically you could get them all to output sound at the same time.

It'll be £99 upfront for multiscreen customers, £149 for others, £249/£299 in total. No cheaper than usual.

I would spend a bit more and get this one

I've had my eye on this for a while as reviews for the pricetag have been excellent but unable to justify 250 up front. This just makes it a bit more palatable.
I got this in December. I’m very impressed for the money I must say.

i understand, but if you don't neccessarily consume sky media, will that affect the sound performance..
how does it compare to a sonos playbase for example
Is it any good with regular Sky HD? Don't have SkyQ but on Sky VIP I have it available for £199 outright.
That's a good deal, Sky are also giving SkyQ with all channels for £40 which I thought was good
It doesn’t support Dolby atmos
