They're not:

Sky Sports subscribers will be able to watch 39 exclusive live games

This is a separate agreement to show games as football is going to be behind closed doors for the foreseeable future. I think it was a government condition to allow people to watch the games in return for being allowed to restart football.

I don't think it has dawned for many people that watching football without a crowd is like watching a movie on an ancient tv.

It's not completely ruined but it's way worse.

As the other post said, your money is not being used. These are different games, and you can't even complain a few pence of your money is paying for the cost of showing them, since the advertising revenue for Sky will easily cover that and far more.

So, in fact, free to air viewers will effectively be giving Sky extra income they can use towards more sport for you in future. You're welcome!

Well no they're not actually, the Government have stepped in on this one...this is a unique situation

I'm a subscriber I don't give a **** who.gets to watch what and for how much. Thsts the problem with internet in general, too many people worrying about other people's s***. If it bothers you that much cancel subscription

Excellent news, now means Sky can charge full price again for sports subscription.
Do we know which games will be for free on the Pick channel?

Everton vs Liverpool is the first and only announced game so far.
I honestly don't think any PL will go ahead. I'm waiting for the players to spring a major surprise on the eve of the first games....
BBC will also show 4 games for free
Any channels on Freeview?
Any chance of HD for these?

165 on VM
Hope BBC show their games in UHD on iPlayer.
4 games on after each other on the first Saturday is going to be a hardcore session!!! I’m sure they could have squeezed another game in if the first game had kicked off at 11.30.

Do you know if there is a Android TV that would do the same from a microsoft laptop or a Samsung phone? Just asking as you seem to be up with tech.

Sky blocked it. I knew this already but I tried it once again just for you. It says external display is blocked. Your best bet is to use HDMI

Thanks
Be nice if BT would offer a few of their games free as well

This isn't a Sky offering - it is the FA using Sky to transmit games which are part of the FA deal with the government who didn't want fans who couldn't afford sport subscription TV to not see any games. If FA hadn't agreed they risked not being able to restart football at all. I suspect there is a deal with FA/Sky to split the advertising revenue so that the clubs involved in these free matches receive some income they otherwise wouldn't have when playing behind closed doors. The BBC have some matches too as part of the deal but not Amazon or BT - it might just be easier to deal with as few companies as possible for the free matches but you would need to ask FA why not Amazon/BT?

I think Amazon have 4 games as well?
The allocation they paid for was just the Xmas fixtures already played.
The 4 Amazon games are also going to be free to air, ie you don’t need Amazon Prime.
