Sky Sports, all 8 channels for £15 pm guaranteed for 3 years

Found 20th Dec 2017
The full Sky Sports pack, all 8 channels, with no contract. For, just(?), £15 pm. I still think it's too dear and it could be just for the invited but haggle.

Number listed to call 0800 759 1696

Only my second post and I didn't see it before listing, sorry if a repeat.

They have lost so much to bt sports I'm not sure it's worth having now.
Stream it for nothing !

Is this an add on for an existing service? (Do you already have to be paying for their base tv package?)
Sound like a good deal
Desperate times for Sky
How much with HD

BlownGasketBob - it is indeed an add on, I got the same letter yesterday. Seems like a reasonable deal to me
From previous experience, I suspect it would be an extra £6 for the channels in HD but if this was £15 in total including HD, then it's an excellent deal in my opinion.

I pay £8.50 with talk talk (from their promo before the season started)so it can get cheaper still.

Some people getting 60% but negotiations are much more difficult these days, I took the 50% but you can keep track over on the main thread...

They're bundling BT channels now. I think the Premier League are about to be stitched up when they renew their rights and I can see BT and Sky low-balling them.

If Premier League games end up on Amazon or Netflix, they're going to be begging Sky and BT to put them back into the living rooms of most people who don't even know where to start when clicking the apps.

As always with subcription services it's the add-on price, I assume you have to be already paying for the basic TV package.
Is this the F1 channel too .....?

I'd be happy to pay £20 per month for Sky Sports but I'm not interested in their base package so I'll just stick with BT. I just wish BT app was available on the fire stick.

It's not on a Roku either but works fine with a Chromecast which you may still be able to buy for £22 then sell the free cinema pass for about £11 net of costs on eBay leaving you out of pocket £11.

Got offered £41 a month for all tv package with HD but said no. Previously got the 75% off, moved over to NowTV and purchased some cheap vouchers from ebay. Only now i've realised that we dont watch much. previously with all the channels, kids were always watching something.

I had 75% off previously. I've not had sky for about a month and I'm not missing it much. Think thats why I've not gone for the 50% off.

Thanks. I was wondering if I could kill 2 birds with one stone as I can't get my hands on an amazon echo dot. But it seems the Google Home Mini needs an audiocast, which I assume is a different product again?

The BT and Sky agreement doesn’t start until early 2019, plus it’s only an agreement to be able to sell each other’s channels as a wholesaler. At the moment, if you want BT Sport on Sky you call BT and not Sky. Under the agreement, you’ll call Sky or vice versa.

They are still rivals in every aspect, so I don’t expect offers for sports rights to come tumbling down.
We don't miss it too had lots off 50% offers wouldn't go back unless they offer 75%

I'm with you on that one! Get the now tv passes cheap on ebay or get the cheap retention deals when I cancel automatically on the Now TV website. Just pay for the days or months when there is stuff on sky sports I want to watch. Have BT internet so get the BT sport included and also have netfix subscription, a fraction of the cost of Sky and much more flexible. Just wish Now TV was HD and had 5.1 Surround Sound support like proper sky and Netflix.

More people should cancel Sky and we would see them squirm, they make massive profits !
I cancelled last year and miss very little

Haven't looked into the sound options but nowtv is deffo showing sports in "HD". Of course, it is a pretty loose term nowadays as there is is a big difference in bitrate between the best quality and worst but if your connection can handle it, you will get 720p. I have it connected via ethernet on BT infinity and the quality of broadcast is pretty good, the images are clear with no obvious artifacts so it is superior to any SD broadcasts.

Don't think it is as good at the BT HD channels but consider that they are being delivered over BT infinity with some QoS applied.
I did the Web chat with Sky to check the price of the Sports HD pack. First the agent tried to tell me that this offer wasn't available and then offered the package with the HD pack (which is £6 a month) for £22 on an 18 month contract. Then he offered this deal for the 3 years with the HD pack at £2 on an 18 month deal.

I'm not keen a minimum tie-in full stop so he said just go for this deal with the HD pack at normal price (so £21 a month). I said I would have a think so he told me the £15 deal ended at midnight tonight. I told him the email said until January 3rd and then the chat disconnected.

Will have a think about whether it's worth £21 a month (more for F1 than football).

Yes. I didn't want to end up cancelling the sports before the end of the 18 months and end up paying for a HD pack that is worthless.

but the HD on the monthly is 6 pounds, so only worth it if you want to cancel at the end of this season, after that the 18mth deal is cheaper
