Don't you have to pay extra for the HD sports channels?

I usually take this deal but not bothering this year. I can never get near our sky box to watch it ( missus and daughter). What I'd like is multi room. Any deals happening on that front ?

Phoned SKY retentions team and got 6 months Sports, Movies and HD for an extra £5pm

Try phoning up retentions. There's nearly always a deal on Multiroom - I got it half price only 2 weeks ago.

I tried that but they just told me "Computer says no!"

No luck pal.
Told them I already had NOW TV and was a BT Sport customer, that seemed to do the trick.8)

Will have to give that a try..

Aren't Skys prices going up in September? Just Sky trying to get people signed up before the increase

Just looked into this... Seems a bit sneaky...
As it states that you get £20 bill credit, which is fine, but it states that a new 12 month minimum subscription applies (even if u cancel the sports).. And sky are putting up their prices for people who are in a minimum subscription. So the sports will go up by £2.50 AND the bill for everything else is subject to go up too. From what I read/understand those who are in a minimum subscription are those who are going to suffer the most, as more £increase.

Will wait til September as I reckon there will be different (maybe better) deal available then.

Would be all over this simply to watch the US Open tennis over the next fortnight... except the terms suggest you're signing up to a minimum 12 month subscription..?!

Can you definitely cancel Sports at any time?

I called them today and they assured me that it doesn't start me on a new 12 month contract so signed up. I will be calling them in the next couple of days to double check this on the account.

Just checked my online offers page and they had ...

Sky Sports
Half price for 3 months + £20 bill credit
Sky Sports now includes Sky Sports 5 - your new
home of European Football.

Get Sky Sports half price for 3 months plus a £20 bill
credit when you upgrade (UK only). Credit will be
applied to your first bill after Sky Sports is active.

It is a deal for me, Heat added

I only just got Sky Family this week, so no Sports or Movies but everything else.
Am I able to get deals or the cheap upgrades you speak of, or does the power only come to me after the 12months contract is up?
