Sky Sports Mobile TV app with Sky Sports 1-4 for £4.99 a month NO SKY TV SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED, 1 month rolling contract

Sky are offering Sky Sports 1-4 using the mobile TV app for £4.99 a month and you don't have to be a Sky Sports subscriber. I don't know what devices it supports, I'm sure all the info is on the link.

" If you are NOT a Sky TV customer you can purchase an auto-renewing monthly subscription to Sky Sports News for iPad for £4.99 (see the App store for details)."

I would have thought as long as your phone has HDMI out it would have worked, unless they have done something to stop that.

they have a way of stopping this so it won't work.
Can i use it for the iphone & ipad or are they separate apps/subscriptions?
Not really a deal, this is just what it costs. It's been advertised on TV and billboards for months.

At first I thought it was well worth it, but the resolution restrictions and lack of connection to TV puts me off.
I ended up moving from cable to Sky to get the F1 channel, which was all I was looking for Sport wise anyway..

Glad i'm no big sports fan as Sky + Sky Sports sub is imo incredibly expensive.

What ever happened to the idea of slotting cards into freeview boxes for premium TV? I'm sure there would be a good market for Sports without all the other crap channels they give you...

I have done it with a old CRT before which was the same concept that worked quite well. That did however use a fresnel lens and you had to turn the tv upside down.

Yeah, just me being trying to be funny. Sorry - not meant to sound like I'm taking the p***. I've done it via my jailbroken iPhone - there's an app called TVOUT one it's JB'n - works really well - even on 60" LCD's

Yes you can use one Sub for 2 devices I pay £5 and works on my Ipad & Iphone (On the Ipad you need to download the Iphone app)

Just remember ESPN will not be on it for the new football season.

It is £26.50 minimum. Only real dickheads will buy it here rather than go for the £26.50 free option..

On top of that £21,50 you are already paying. Best pay the £26.50 for the + pack(sports too) to get this free.

Im not sure if you actually know what this is.

You dont need any type of contract with Sky. This is for mobile phones and tablets. You download an app and pay £5 a month to watch the channels I stated above on Mobile and tablets only.

So for someone who does not want the contract and high price of sky tv / Sports you can pay a one off £5 and watch it on mobiles / Tablets.

I think your confusing this with Sky Go. Sky Sports TV app does not require another sky subscription

Also if you done it this way you would need to use Sky Go and add the sports channels to your subscription for an extra £21
    So it would cost £47.50
So the point of the "deal" is for £5 you can watch the sports on a tablet/mobile month by month with no contract.
OP I would remove the for NON -Sports subscribers 1 month rolling contract.
It may confuse people that it needs an active sky subscription hence why it’s gone cold as its a great deal.
The £4.99 subscription does not include Sky Sports 1-4.

Note: This subscription gives you access to all sports news snd information along with Sky Sports News channel. This DOES NOT include access to Sky Sports 1 to 4 and Sky Sports F1 channels or full access to companion events.

It does include the channels I have it on my phone/Ipad just make sure you install the Iphone version of the app.
It did not come up on iTunes. Seems the other one is better quality but guess for £5 beggars cant be choosers. With Sky only receiving about £2.50 taking off VAT and iCommision I guess it is at this price until the footy season starts.

    Glad you understand now

Its always £5 even when the football is on, they dare to up it next season as they have lost ESPN which was included for the same price.

Seems that £10 is likely the upped football season price.

Have just done so, couldn't figure out why nobody thought Sky Sports for £20 less than usual (albiet on a phone) was a bad deal....too late now as the cold voting bandwagon is rolling.
