Sky being crafty here. There'll be no sports for the next few months and they are trying to lock in customers with a 18 month contract.

Cheaper with BT plus you have the option of taking the sports packages off it off season if you want to save money.
Looks good. Might upgrade from my Sky+HD box for this

I had spotted their £40 deal but it's on top of BT broadband. Do BT have the £40 sports only option for people with other providers? I still have 10 months left in an existing broadband contract and buying that contract out to switch to BT would be too expensive.

Yeah, it is the reason I haven't taken Q on my last too upgrades.

However, I posted a deal a few weeks back where they were letting you upgrade to a 1TB UHD Sky Q box for free and no new contract length. Might be worth a shot asking on live chat saying you got an Email saying you could get the same.

350mb download and 50mb upload.

Yeah that's a low ratio. Most providers with that sorta brute speed would be looking at 70-90 upload. I'm not sure why they have a lower average upload than most

Not many do these kind of speeds for download. That’s why I prefer virgin.

Yeah virgin are the download kings. I'm more interested in upload, ping and stability on the line 4 gaming. Download isn't a huge thing for me, it is odd the ratio is vastly different. I do wonder why that is

I’ve never had an issue with the service. Of course as with most things in life there will be others who may not have had a great service
Phoned them up, wouldn’t move on my renewal price so I’ll try round 2 tomorrow. They are being right tight buggers

How have U got on? I'm trying to get a cheaper price but their website is offering best price and I've even been on the phone 7-8 times.

Got them to stick to last years prices and dropped sky movies because I find we can get a fair bit off Netflix.

Thanks for letting me know. I rang them again because I can get a cheaper price by £3 on the website and they can't manage it when ringing and every time I ring they say it will be sorted and the price somehow goes up and have to ring back...
Overall even if I get the price they say, I'll only save £10 a month from the website prices for a weeks worth of calls to idiots.

It's really not worth the wind up anymore.
