Perfectly fine for any average broadband users like me, obviously if you want supersonic speeds you are going to have to pay more

To be perfectly honest I've moved from 17meg ADSL to 50meg fiber, and I notice the download speeds, but otherwise the no difference. The streaming services like Netflix may load a bit quicker, not no appreciable difference. However the main issue is stability. The ADSL as rock stable whereas the fiber is fickle. I'm not sure that I'd miss the fibre if I reverted back to adsl. Is this other people's experience too?

Yeah... for YOU that is.
If anyone else was on your line it would be the exact same.

Presuming you should be getting faster (going by your pointless comment)...
Perhaps the line becomes unstable, your speed is impacted and will go lower than the minimum.

Maybe start off with getting a grip, and then doing something about the speed issue, and THEN consider tainting someone else's post... Keeping it clear of your own phone lines capability of course!

Heat added.
It's a shame those who can't appreciate low speeds for low usage, is tainted by "faster the better"... £18 for everything is cheaper than the line rental cost alone and fully accommodates light users, plus the cash back incentives!!!

Aren't Voda kicking in with 20 quid for 38 fibre all in tomorrow?

All that said, this works out close to a tenner a month and I'll probably go for it. I don't understand why it's cold.

... Your torrent speed not only depends on the Internet connection, it also depends on some other factors like no of seeders & peers, your router, your isp, and more.

Switch to Usenet.

Used to be with sky for 8 years.
Renewal came up and my package doubled. Told them to f#£k off. Joined talk talk via mse. Same bundle same price.

heated, the £25 for unlimited fibre seems to be same across board, plusnet, BT etc.

So is the line rental free for 12 months on this offer?

Sweet. No fibre available in my area and with the BT price increase, this looks a good offer.

Terrible broadband that forces you to use a terrible router, start clear is my advice.

You only need to follow some pretty simple online instructions to extract your username and password then you can use any router you like.

I found Sky to be excellent. I recently moved to Talktalk as it was cheaper but my speeds are slower and the supplied router is useless. With Sky, using their own router, it would sync at over 17meg with speed test results usually just under 15 meg. With Talktalk, using their supplied router, it synced at around 10meg with speed test results around 8meg. Changing to an old plusnet router I had now gives me synch around 14 with actual speeds around 12 which seems to be the best I'm going to get out of Talktalks service. I will most likely be going back to Sky as soon as my Talktalk contract ends. Voting hot!

This offer ends on 16th Nov.

Any indication, if this offer will be bettered by black Friday deals?

Except why spend £18 for broadband adsl when I paying for unlimited fibre from sky for £20 a month and that includes my line rental

I have to agree with others, found sky to be the best..
Had BT and Plusnet in the last couple of years and sky were better.

It seems this deal also includes line rental. A quick look at a comparison site and it seems you can get fibre from for 20 a month but it's not unlimited, set up fee is £10 more, contract is 18 months rather than 12 and TCB payout is 10 quid less.

Well that's great if the offer is currently open to everyone inc those without a TV contract but if it isn't then it's not really relevant unless perhaps it's a deal that regularly pops up.

IF THE deal includes TCB surely you should link to the TCB site rather than the sky site,

No TV contract here. Left sky back at beginning of this year and took up the fibre in march.

The price is not including that in line with the rules of this site, which also re-links any affiliate links to their own. If you want TCB, you need to go through it yourself.

Yes that posted deal doesn’t appear to have gone live. Sky equivalent works out at 21 after taking everything into account.

JUST BEING LAZEE

Really can't see why this has been rated so low. I'm sure it's not because it's Murdoch broadband.

If you live in a rural area, where there's no cable and high DSL speeds are impossible, this is a good deal. If you can get both cash backs (I think the TCB one expired yesterday), it's a very good deal.

Thanks for posting.

I managed to get sky broadband and line rental for £5.35 for the year a couple of years ago.. Does anyone know if this deal is still on as I've been looking around but can't see it. Next port of call is to ring them if no techies on here can help. It was so cheap to get customers to switch then hopefully stay with them for years to come.. I cancelled after the year and only paid the £5.35.. I found it through a post on here. Thanks in advance if anyone knows

Excellent deal for a low end user.

Total spend £235.95
Total income £70 (as at 18.11.17) TCB and £50 master card = £120
Net spend £115.95 or £9.67 per month
