On Steam, I can only see The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition at £29.99. Is this for that version?
Thanks op installing now, anyone got any decent mods they recommend?

That's not the question. The question is whether this is the special remastered version

Steam dont sell the old version... this should convert to the new version i think, but ask that buyer above who wants to install mods on first playthrough... yikes lol.

I don't think this converts, the Special Edition key is £16.99:

I’d spend quite a few hours playing the vanilla (base) version first, then look at some basic weather, texture and sound mods to improve immersion.

No stranger to Skyrim just now have a PC that doesn't die on its arse when you run anything above medium quality

Doesnt matter when you activate it on steam it could convert. Happens with loads of older games but not sure if only bought via steam before the change or outside steam keys too. I got loads of definitive edition games with all the DLC from purchasing base games but not activating them on steam. Dont think you can do this anymore though.
I'm still trying to complete Morrowind.
the online version is also on offer and F2P for now (Steam)

The Legendary edition is different from the special edition. They're fundamentally different - one is 64 bit and one is 32 bit.
The Special edition is the up-to-date version which has better mod support.

This is is only for those who don't want to play with new mods (there are old legacy mods that will be supported with this edition).

This isn't a bad deal, but I personally would still prefer spending a bit extra and getting the Special edition

It doesn't convert (it only did in 2016):

They are separate games:

Does this game use the mouse to move or is it one of those that use W-A-D-X?

No it's the LE version not the Special edition version. While you can still get keys for the LE version and it's DLC it is no longer listed Steam store only the SE version is listed.

Youre missing my point... steam converts old games to the final editions at a certain point as it no longer sells the original versions... games such as darksiders and such will convert to the new version automatically. Im not sure if this key will do that as you cant actually buy the older version anymore.

It's a good point. Has anyone established if it auto links the key to the SE version when you get it from steam?

I'm interested in this but suspect my graphics card may wheeze a bit, does anyone know if it runs well enough on the following Intel HD card?:

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4590 (Quad Core, 3.30GHz Turbo, 6MB, w/ HD Graphics 4600)
It’s £4.99 now
