Cheapest I can see skyrim for the switch.

Changing account to south africa takes the price down to just over 37 quid.

Yes it’s more expensive than pc, PS4, etc. But cheapest for switch.

my Lloyd’s bank charges £36.09

Nasty people

I won’t be buying this until its £20 on cartridge and only if it doesn’t require an additional download on the micro sd card. Playing this on the go sounds great, but trying to charge stupid prices for such an old game is embarassing

Good price but wanting physical copy.

It's Nintendo tax. The developers have to pay Nintendo to publish the carts. So there's an additional £4-15 added to the price just for that alone. : /

As Talos is my witness, may this discount bind me to death and beyond!

For the size of the game and for someone who hasn't played it before, it's a solid title for Switch at that price and one which you will get hundreds of hours of play out of. For anyone who played it 6 or so years ago and wants portable Skyrim, it's a bitter pill to swallow.

The cartridge prices are really starting to hurt Switch now. LA Noire has a 14Gb day one patch before it will even load the cart; NBA 2k, WWE and Doom all have similar issues. It's 3rd parties and/or Nintendo cheaping out on buying larger capacity carts - and eating the cost themselves - and pushing the costs and extra hassle on to the user.

You wonder what the point of buying these physical Switch games is when down the line and Switch servers are closed, carts like LA Noire will be completely useless and worthless.

I do about 10 long haul flights per year for work. Having a good game like Skyrim to play will really help time pass.

Gahhhh Thumper makes my head hurt! I can see the appeal though.

@nintendo meaning eshop? Lol

this is like someone selling an iphone 4s for a grand...its 6 years old no matter what device its on.

I can't wait until Skyrim gets released for my microwave.

Still don’t understand why anyone likes this game so much , it’s sooo dull ,no one has personality and the combat is horrible ....It’s fun for a while playing with some of the mods but that’s about it
loved morrowind and oblivion but all of skyrim quests are boring even the deadric shrine quests . Wasn’t worth this much when it first came out

More expensive than when I bought on release day.

It's ideal for flights. I have to make do with a Wii and in-car dvd player at the moment.

I recently purchased a Switch, but if I want to play Skyrim on the train then my Ultrabook with onboard graphics would do a better job than 720p/30fps. I could even pair the Joy-cons!

No vote on the deal, but the price gouging is insulting considering the age and wide variety of platforms already available.
I paid under £22 when it launched in 2011.

It's not the same. This isn't old hardware for more money than it was sold originally. It's old brilliant software for new portable hardware.

For those with both a switch and an ultrabook then yes there is a choice. For those with one or the other then the fecision is already made (?)

I bought Skyrim a while back on Steam. I think the game of the year cost me £8. I have played it on the go using a GPD win. It plays really nice with low spec mods. I still think this is a good purchase on the switch if you've never played it or are a die hard fan. I won't be picking it up as my back log is crazy.

You wouldn't need to. Any half decent modern laptop would run this game.

Plus you can always use the switch as a weapon if things start to look bad.

On one of my last flights a Kid sitting next to me kept blocking my view of the switch as he was trying to watch me play Mario kart

eventually i let him have a go on the switch, I fell asleep & woke up and he played it until the battery was dead. He woke me up asking for it to be charged up

Yeah that one would have justified using it as a weapon. I've been told that they take ages to become usable again once the battery runs flat.

I've cancelled my LA NOIRE preorder for that reason. Apparently DOOM had the single player on the cart and you download the multiplayer which I couldn't personally care less about

The Doom scenario isn't so bad, at least in the future a collector knows they can buy the game and play it... and in the future the multiplayer servers would be dead anyway. Add to that I hear Doom multiplayer is not really very popular.

I'm disappointed Nintendo allowed Rockstar to release a game in this way though... it's really no different to buying a DL code in a game box.
