Clearly neither of you have played it. This is one of the most memorable gaming experiences in years, playing this game in VR is nothing short of breathtaking. It's well worth the money, and isnt merely a cash grab.

Why would people not want to put 100hrs into it in VR?? What a ridiculous statement. I mean unless you get VR sick (in which case what are you doing playing VR) then it's great that there's a big game out there to play instead of the smaller experiences and mini games. I've had it a few days and sunk hours into it already.

Well done Bethesda for supporting VR and going back to make a classic for Psvr. I hope other devs take note.

Shame on Bethesda not doing this as a dlc add on though the amount of times they've re-released this now is ridiculous

They are greedy bandits. Too many people fall for it though and will buy it.

Playing devils advocate here.
Respected developers Croteam (of Serious Sam and The Talos Principal) have made VR versions of recent releases.
They have gone into depth into how making even existing games into a quality VR experience is a lengthy and expensive process they go into depth on this here and why a separate release is almost necessary here.

Having said all that Bethesda seem to be set on porting Skyrim to every system ever expect to be seeing the ultimate remaster special edition on PS5 in a couple years time haha!

Well not everyone can sit all day playing in VR my point is if you wanted a break from it you can't just play it in the TV when you want which would of been the case if it was an add on.

So you are telling me Bethesda hasn't milked this game for all its worth its a 6 year old game and still getting re-releases, I bet this is about the 10the release we've had and because elders scroll online is making them so much money now it's going to be a while yet before we get another.

I just have a feeling that this will be £24.99 on one of the Xmas deals.

After failing to get HDR with the mooted HDMI splitter on here I'm thinking about getting the V2 Skyrim pack from Amazon.com...

True, but other than Resident Evil and Dirt Rally there's not many games that allow you to play it in standard as well as vr. It would have been nice for the remastered version to have been chucked in as well but I'm definitely happy with it and how it plays. Although I only had it on the PS3 previously, maybe if I'd have bought the remaster on Ps4 I'd have felt more aggrieved.

Yeah I'm not saying it'll be a bad game or anything it's probablys the best thing on VR at the minute and if I hadn't just finished it again in the summer I'd probablys buy it again.

Never played this game. Not sure if to go for the switch or PS4 vr. Imagine the vr experience is pretty cool. But 80 odd hours with the VR set on..... Not so sure. Switch doesn't have the graphics, but at least I can play around the house, Mrs watching TV etc.
Heat for the price.

Agreed, plus it's not good on your eyes, compared to watching at a distance. Love my vr, but can only play it for 2 hours tops.

I got my copy on Friday. 20 hours in so far.

It is amazing. This and Resi 7 are the best things on PSVR.

Hopefully if Betehsda make a good return on this, then they will set to work on porting Fallout 4 (Even 3 would be amazing)

I mean she could still watch TV while you use the PS VR (unless you're particularly noisy & mobile ).

Heat. For all those saying it should be a patch or dlc this game runs at 60fps and has been reworked for vr, I've never played Skyrim before so I'm all for it but I suspect most of the grumblings are from people who have already purchased the game and now would like a free vr mode, oh well... if I play 1-2 hours on vr the last thing I'm going to do is play the PS4 normally, I'm going to take a break and return later.

I have Skyrim on PC,and played through original, special edition and have just purchased on Switch.Highly recommended - sure, graphically not as good as my PC, but I have hardly noticed, the performance on Switch is more than good enough (mainly been playing on same TV too). I have read that the VR version looks the worst of all versions, and they have made significant sacrifices to make sure the game runs at a smooth 90fps. With VR, you are paying for the experience, but I think newcomers will enjoy it more on Switch than in VR.

Thanks for the info.... Think I am swayed and I'll pick up the switch version. Cheers.

Mine’s shipped- I have written goodbye letters to my wife and family.
