Thanks for your post, good price! I've added a price and a retailer name to your title, we always try to include these when posting deals.

i,m in the old school of thinking when i buy a new bat i have to 'knock it in' , do other people still do this?

To say that it's "SIMILAR*/BETTER IN MY OPINION" compared with the Elite version, is dillusional at best!

In my experience, Kashmir Willow bats aren't worth the effort that has gone into making them! The offer of £50 for the Elite is a cracking offer!

In my opinion Kashmir Willow leads to better stroke play than English Willow - the best bats i have used are made from Kashmir Willow and those are all i use now.

In any case i would suggest if you are anything by a total novice or strapped for cash not to buy online. You need to feel the balance of the bat as well as check the grain of the blade for an defect - which you can only do by holding the bat in your hand and checking the pick up, follow through etc. The quality of a bat differs even within the same model number and what might be suitable for one person might be totally unsuitable for another.

Now on that bit we both agree - you can't buy a cricket bat off the internet - you need to try it yourself. It's not even like golf clubs where you might test out a certain make, then buy them cheaper off the net. Each cricket bat has subtle differences.
