Oh dear

Some people have got a wicket sense of humour.

Terrible bat for proper cricket. But it would be fine for backyard or tennis ball or tape ball cricket.

this one's stumped me

As someone else said, don't go hitting proper cricket balls with this. £59.99 RRP??? Someone's having a laugh with the mark up on that...

Can you use this for baseball?

Kashmir willow is only really suitable for tennis balls and maybe a soft cricket ball like a "windball". hope this helps anyone thinking of buying this.
For proper cricket balls, you would need English Willow.

Cricket is very popular in Japan.

It's what they do to their camera to take a photo.

The fact that it's sports direct has taken the 'edge' off this deal

99% of Slazenger cricket gear is now terrible - it's gone the same way as Karrimor i.e. destroyed by Sportsdirect

does it need knocking off

Not just cricket gear, everything -
I bought one of the t-shirts which i remember seeing it as 100 % cotton online when i ordered and now it turned out to be that it was a mix of nylon and cotton(i noticed this after this was delivered) and let it be my mistake and the quality was awefull (when i sit on the carpet floor surface, too many bobbles came up on the clothes).

I got a slazenger backpack in there for a tenner to replace my puma backpack I'd bought from argos years ago for the same price, its not even going to last a year, the inside surface is falling off in bits and getting stuck to my shopping, you can see sunlight through it now in ever increasing sections it's looking like a mesh bag.

I'm quite bowled over with this deal. Nice

Sports Direct is run and managed by kids,They have no idea how to deal with customers, certainly waste of money unless it is used as a show piece on a display.

It's 'Silly Point' really! love to 'scoop' this deal...

Its not delivered in £12.
Cheapest delivery is £4.99 as far as i can see.

I remember when Slazenger was good, it's a pity. Maybe it gets better if you take the labels off and replace them with Adidas/New Balance stickers?

'£60' for Kashmir Willow? I don't think so. Worth the £12 though for kids messing about I guess. But never worth £60.

delivery is £5 not free

rrp is bit WIDE of the mark

Yes I most certainly do have an idea. Why do you think English Willow is used on all professional bats and must be graded to regulation, thus costing much more than softer alternative - kashmir willow.

Lol. Clearly ignorant.
Kashmir willow is fine for playing " proper cricket". It obviosuly doesn't have the same benefits of English willow but that doesn't mean you cannot use a proper cricket ball with it. Grade 1 Kashmir is equivalent to grade 3/4 English.

Also you can't really get your info from a cricket shop who are deliberately trying to sell you the most expensive bat possible.

I am only trying to help fellow HUKDers into not buying the wrong item. Yes you can use a Kashmir Willow bat with a proper cricket ball, but not only will you not get good performance, you will also find that the bat will start to crack very quickly. I speak from experience as well as additional research. Look it up yourself if you do not believe me.

Haha, well at least I have information and sources to back me up - what do you have? Besides, wikihow is not trying to sell anything - wikihow is just a decently reliable source of unbiased information.

cold. What's the point in buying a cricket bat I'd rather watch ballet than cricket defiantly the most lame and boring sport ever invented
