Amazon Prime to get that price
I've had this kit for years now - thankfully never had to use it for repair, but I do use the compressor regularly to inflate my tyres. Good price!
Ordered fab thanks price is worth it just 4 compressor alone heat added
14.19 now, how low can you go Amazon?
Perfect for our road trip to DLP next month - also found as a deal on here. This site costs me a fortune...... but I love it!
Looked interesting - but read the reviews: lots of happy ones from people who have never used it, lots of very unhappy ones who found it didn't work when they needed it!

Sorry OP but it has to be cold. But don't worry, it's cheap so it'll get lots of HUKD heat!

Ordered, thanks OP. Compressor could also be used on my bike which has car type valves. Have some heat.
FWIW - my car has no spare tyre. I won't know whether the repair kit will work until I need it, but I still rely on it!!

But this isn't a product review site, it's about deals.

This is normally £20, regardless of the Amazon RRP, so it is a good deal. Therefore it should be voted hot as a deal alone.

I think it would be worthwhile if HUKD had two voting options for listings, the main vote for the price, then a secondary vote for the actual product as it would avoid a lot of this down voting just because of product reviews.

The problem with these tyre inflation kits is that people expect them to fix a blown tyre with a massive hole in it, whereas in reality it will only fix a small hole from a nail etc and is only meant to be a quick repair.

So it's still hot even if it doesn't work (mainly, it seems, because the compressor won't work)? Interesting logic. I guess you could argue that it's a cheap(er) way to fill a space in your boot? It's clear from the reviews that you can't rely on it so how can it be hot? Suspect you didn't look at the reviews.
As I said, this isn't a review site, it's purely a deals site and whether something is cheaper than it normally is.

You never know, there may be slime collectors that just want it on a shelf!!
If the site was called Hot UK Product Reviews then it would be voted cold but it's not.

I do believe they should split listings out into deal and review votes, would make sense if done right.
You mean 5 star reviews like this -

Not used, but fits nicely in the space left by the manufacturers one that was missing.

Idiots everywhere!!!

Think you've kinda missed the point on this one, it's a compressor and tyre slime puncture repair liquid...

It's a deal site that you think should encourage people to buy faulty products just because they are cheaper than normal? I have a magic weightless, invisible money growing tree. Normally I'd sell it at a million pounds, but for this week, you can buy it from me for 25 pounds. It'll go well on your shelf for other useless items.

What experience do you have that it's faulty? Not all the reviews are 1 star so we can safely assume it does work for some.

Whilst I am not saying this product is useless, I disagree with your black and white stance. "Deal" is subjective and more than just price alone, so I think there is validity in questioning a product's heat if there is evidence of it being poor.

To that end the site is also not called, Hot UK Cheapest Price, either. In a situation where I might question the quality our overall value of something that may well be super cheap, I usually refrain from voting, personally.

To be fair, I agree with you here, as there are some 5 star reviews that do state they have used it and it works well. However, I am cautious of all the reviews that say it is useless, with the pump not seeming powerful enough or easily breaking.

I probably agree with you, I was more pointing out the cold voting rather than the review aspect.

If I see a (what I perceive to be, from personal experience) rubbish product then I will comment as such but not vote either way.

But to vote something cold just because some mystery Amazon reviewers say it's rubbish (but overall has 4/5 stars!!) is not really useful at all.

Agree with what you say, but you could always test the compressor before you stick it in the boot, and send it back if the one you are sent is a faulty POS, rather than waiting till you need it.

How long does the gunk keep? I think the stuff in the kit Ford saw fit to replace the spare tyre, jack and brace with needs replacing every few years.
Just a heads up. Once the tyre is flat you remove the valve inner piston (tool included). Then squirt the slime inside until all the slime is used. Refit the valve inner and use the compressor to pump up.
The compressor is a proper rattler but what’s awesome is the total size of the packet which takes up no room in the boot.
I’ve got a couple of kits for the kids cars... and for the money it’s a good buy.

Hmm I think there's probably about 1,584,204 other members on here that don't realise that judging by the numerous arguments, reviews and debate that goes on here
Some of the 1 star reviews are from idiots that haven't bothered to check or test the thing... they buy it and chuck in the boot until needed..... one reviews says the cable isn't long enough to reach the tyre.

Don't people check things are suitable as soon as they buy them?!

Not sure and interesting point. Will have a look if there's a suggested use by date
Is this not the gunk that ruins your tyre? I'm out.

I'm pretty sure this stuff washes off with water, but I have read some garages will supposedly refuse to repair tyres filled with repair gunk, even stuff that is supposed to wash off. Would probably be very good idea to fit a new valve.
My OH's tyres are £250!!! each and like me would try to save the tyre. I just bought a spare wheel complete with tyre ( space saver) for slightly more than the cost of 2 of these kits. Much better value IMHO.

Mine a £250 each as well. But my daughter has a little mini so it works well with that..
