Worth it for Souvlaki Space Station and When The Sun Hits in my opinion! This is remastered too....Slowdives CDs were always badly mastered on first release.

Certainly one of my favourites from the shoegaze era, and yet Ride & Lush always seemed to get more publicity.

Will double check the tracklist on the CD, I have owned it for a good while.

*PLEASE NOTE PLAY HAVE THE TRACKLISTING WRONG. TRACKLISTING IS AS I HAVE LISTED.*

I adore the breakdown about 4/5ths through that song before the two little drum skips, then the multilayered sonic guitar wash "sweet thing i watch you, hey hey".....damn need to go listen to it :-D

I just bought it anyway no worries! I like the rarities collection, i trust you have that as well? There's a helluva lot of late 80's early 90's The Cure in those! I think anyway.

Yeah I have tried 'Ride'... em not so much... the album with the wave on the front...it's OK i suppose.
Also My Bloody Valentine got waaaaay more recognition, jesus even Chapterhouse got more.

Did you know that tw@ from The Manic Street Preacher said he 'hates Slowdive more than Hitler'? What a breast

ooohh thats a Cocteau Twins avatar, just noticed, yeah Cocteau Twins and Slowdive were the most fantastic bands around at the time.

I think 'When The Sun Hits', or maybe 'Alison' (for different reasons) are my favourite Slowdive songs! I love the eerie emotional plinky guitar intro, the quick drums then as you wonderfully put it the 'wash' and curtain of guitar noise envelops you. Just listening to it again... the two little drum fills are brilliant... the song shouldn;t have stopped there

'It matters where you are.... ......' truly outstanding.

Quite excited about the remastered versions, just got a new 'soundsystem' so this could work out well

Yeah I think most Slowdive fans know how much the Manics hated Slowdive, was some quote in NME or Melody Maker.

Also read that Oasis didnt want to sign to Creation records unless Slowdive were off their roster of artists!

Rarities collection? I have the 3 albums remastered and this compilation, didn't know of another release?

Shoegaze era for me was all about Cocteau Twins (the godfathers of shoegaze), Verve, Slowdive, Curve, and the brilliantly underrated Kitchens Of Distinction.

Not a big Ultra Vivid Scene fan then mate?

Great find BTW?

Now where's that spare £4.99??

Early 90s for me was Guns n Roses, Nirvana and Metallica! Only got into Slowdive when I *ahem matured.

I just recently read about the whole Manics thing, really sad I wonder why they hated them so much? Oasis are [email protected] everyone knows that. Maybe it was just Slowdive didn;t have that inane blokish mentality and attitude and just did there own thing?

It started when I randomly bought Milk and Kisses on holiday in Prague and it's been that way ever since.

I have the rarities, awful quality but still interesting. I saw Mojave3 and I'm sure they sang Catch the Breeze live, I was pretty gone at that point tho.

Whats that other CD for £4.99 play.com/Mus…tml

Ultra Vivid Scene were one of those bands that passed me by, one of those names you heard of, but never heard anything by!

Just A Day was their debut album, that is the remastered version released with a bonus disk, as are all the three albums they recorded...

Just A Day 1991, Souvlaki 1994, Pygmalion 1995
