Niche market, will not interest many.
Copper barrier slug tape (4 meters) in at Home Bargains again, only £1.99. I bought this last year and the Hosta's have never been better.
I believe the deal will be national.
The next best price I could find was as a add on item with Amazon for £3.73,

This is good tape, does not have to be just for slug barrier, can be used for small electrical contact repairs, i have used to used to make tracks on pcb board, so quite versatile

do will this stop them coming into my house, is so gross they somehow manage to get in between the wall and the laminate. would I put this on the outside of my house or inside?

need this urgent im currently going in my back at 9 pm and killing loads they all pop out around this time I sit in wait with a knife chopping each one in two

they have destroyed tons of my plants

Sharp knife or scissors are a more satisfying method - but you have to keep at them for weeks.

like to cover them in salt and watch them squirm as they shrivel up

I went out and salted them last night after one of my favourite plants getting ravaged the night before! The Spanish slugs are huge and multiplying fast!

Must be dark & moist up there. X)

been using sand and that has deterred them quite a bit

Pants. Just paid £5 for some of this stuff, hope it saves the surviving veg plants, I will admit to gleefully salting a few of the buggers early this morning.

Great price.

bought some of this myself at the weekend. stupid stuff curls up as your applying, so needs a bit of patience when applying. twice the proce at b&q. heat added

slug pellets.... do the job ok. I hate slugs and snails! This year seems to be pretty bad with all the wet weather. Heat for anything that kills them!

I used some of this last year did pretty much naff all still found the gits inside the plant pots!

Life vs plants? Leave the little guys alone, they just having a munch

Was waiting for someone with abit of sense to step in! Barrier tape however is alot better than pellets/salt/a bloody knife!

Saw this and read the pack. It gives them a shock.

I was thinking about using copper pipe but then thought without an anode it wouldn't work. If you put a layer of aluminium round as well it would definitely work as they cross from one metal to the other while touching both they would get an electric shock.

garlic..

thanks rosycheeks I won't bother with this then. hubby's getting some sealant to fill in the gap between laminate flooring and the beading hopefully that'll stop them coming in.

Also in Poundland for smaller length (think 2m) if you have no Home Bargains near.

Hate the slugs and snails but always try to kill them quick if going 'manual'.

Life vs plants as above? If I've paged through the seed catalogue, picked seeds, ordered them, gone and bought trays pots and compost, sown the seeds, tended them watered them, pricked them out potted them on, hardened them off planted them out then that is my life I've put into the plants. I don't give that all up and let the pests chomp them into nothingness.

Slugs and snails are filthy diseased slimes v plants that provide food and oxygen. No contest in my book.

Be lungworm aware...every year pets inadvertently ingest slugs they carry lungworm which can and does kill.
