Good price. It kind of works - slugs cannot get over it.
But instead they clime up our house walls and then jump down into pots from hight... never seen anything like it!!

Great for electronics too lol

Would these stop them getting in my front room

Wow what are you growing in your garden for the slugs to go SAS level?

Used some to wax off my moustache

My thoughts exactly!!! For that price it may just be worth trying :-)

can I tie this around my walnut tree? The snails have decided to build a home in the bark and I don't want to kill them?

It seems that everything I grow they like!
Mostly salad and strawberries.. they also like courgettes.

The little nuisances line up at the back door and somehow get into the kitchen....drives us nuts! Tried putting things along the bottom of the door, but they then get in at the sides or top then probably. Hate the things! Will get some of this to try as other stuff we've used hasn't worked.

Salt!

I'll probably get grief for it but put some stella or strong german beer in a saucer in the middle of your kitchen at night. They crawl into it and die, but at least they die happy!

No guarantees but your house could be suffering from damp & when the little buggers get inside through cracks in the walls, damp proof course, door/window frames, air blocks/grills, drainage holes, even the roof due to blocked rainwater downpipes. I've seen slugs & snails crawling up 2 story buildings near blocked rainwater downpipes with plants growing in them.

Even pet owners may suffer from slug infestations due to the pet food left overs where owners can't be bothered to clean up & leave pet food in gaps near skirting boards, under the kitchen units which don't help as once it gets damp, it's feeding time.

Next thing to worry about is slug egg infestations as all they need is moist environment to survive under floorboards, carpets, skirting boards, inside/under sofas, small leaks from central heating pipes, gas meter cupboards that you have to think about.

Lots of suggestions out there but you could try applying a line of cheap washing up liquid or bleach around the house & areas that you think they're getting in as the strong smell can deter them. Crack up the heating by a few degrees, sprinkle salt at back of cupboards, brush it into any gaps.

The worst thing is, if the alarm goes off during the night and you go downstairs in your bare feet, stepping on slugs in bare feet, isn't one my my fondest memories.

My wife is sticking to slug pellets to protect her Hostas (and numerous other plants) but Heat added

Bought 3 of these and fitted them around my 2 raised veg beds, I'll see how effective they are compared to the slug pellets - the pellets melt the slugs and snails...

hate slugs there eating my garden at sonw rate .

I go out at 6 am and find them on the grass ect and chop them in half .

6 am is great hunting time. go out and there everywhere

good find. and....better than slug pellets which poison hedgehogs when they eat the slugs

I hate slugs too. Last summer on some evenings they would be all over my back lawn. Over 2 nights I collected them all and counted, I had collected over 100. It's completely put me off growing anything to eat now as, they seemed to like green beans the most.

It didn't work for us, our brave and hardy slugs just went right over it.

I too do a 'slug hunt' in the evening at about 10pm. I collect them up, counting them for curiosity and put them in the dustbin. Last June over a 9 week period I averaged 240 slugs and snails per week !
