I'm sure I heard somewhere that this puts a Voodoo curse on your child? Any truth to it?
Now this offer is interesting, not for the actual price, but because formula for under 12 months is not supposed to be discounted, as it discourages breast feeding; and that tin says 6 months+. Have the government changed the rules??

True, you're not even allowed to spend Clubcard Vouchers on it, and it's exempt from any £10 off £50 etc. Well spotted

There are restrictions on the labelling of both infant formula and follow on milk but I'm sure I've read in a news article the U.K. only restricts the advertising and promotion of infant formula for up to 6 months.

Yes unfortunately it's only for 1st stage milk. Which is why follow on milk was invented as there are no restrictions!

Yeah surprisingly I think the article said the companies make most of their money from follow on milk, rather than from infant formula.
Follow on milk is a load of old rubbish. Baby's don't need it. Cold!

True, sort of, they dont tolerate raw* cows milk so well until they are over 12 months; but dont tell the Chinese; SWMBO earns a few sheckles exporting UK baby formula to China, and with the pound so weak, profits are up!!!

* Better to give them cheese, yoghurt etc, as the calcium is absorbed better, raw cows milk in very young children can actually STOP calcium from being absorbed.

Back to the labels, I forgot, the formula companies re-did them to change the age ranges for each level - and so get around the restrictions. Level 2 USED to be 12 months and up, but they lowered it to 6 months and up a few years ago.

Sorry, I have been out of the trade for a couple of years now.

All of which they could get from a healthy, balanced diet. Instead they will be given formula and chips*.

*Had a 2 y/o at nursery once, first week, every meal he would look at the food, then SCREAM for chips.

Over the years we had a few who hadnt a clue what fresh food looked or tasted like; most eventually settled in and ate it, but a few parents just supplied them with jam/chocolate spread sandwiches for lunch.
