I assume thats to promote breastfeeding? F'ing ridiculous if so.

They can do offers on 'toddler/follow on milk' because they are non-essential luxuries that milk companies are making stupid amounts of money on. They are not allowed to promote/advertise infant formula because it is an essential if baby cannot be breastfed, so the market is not allowed to compete. This is why milk companies came up with the fantastic money spinner 'follow on milk', that can be advertised and promoted to lure all the parents in. Better of with some organic milk that is cheaper and not full of chemicals, and feeding your child some decent food (they should have a full varied diet and not need this crap). It is all amount money, not the child. Money would be better off with farmers than these criminals.
And yes I did use formula with some of mine, but only infant until 12 months and then cows milk.

So basically not much of a deal, because kids don't need it and even organic milk is much cheaper than this formulated chemical foul tasting muck.

Agreed, although if people want to use it then I suppose it's a good deal to them...I was told the other day that this is "Far superior to cows milk" but by this age children should be eating a healthy balanced diet so it should be unnecessary..
