Presume this is the smart clock 2.
It is different. I don't remember exactly the difference but apart from Google vs Alexa, one has touchscreen and the other does not. I think the 2 has a charging port (possibly on a dock) and the other does not. I think the Smart Clock 2 has more features and is better. (edited)

I use one of the Alexa plugs purely as a door chime for my Eufy video doorbell. I presume this will also be able to do this function because it's a standard Alexa skill. It's the only thing I use Alexa for, everything else I have is Google but Eufy doesn't work with that particular feature.

I was wondering how bright it actually is at night time? The Mrs could sleep with the sun in the bedroom, but I prefer it as dark as possible. Currently I've got one of the small Sony cube clocks (ICF-C1), and even on the lowest brightness I find it eye searingly bright.
The brightness dimms automatically when you turn off the lights (after approx 10 sec ), then comes back up when you turn the lights on.
I find it really nice to look at even when waking up in the middle of the night and want to check the time,

Wonder how long the digits will last?
You've obviously had the same problem as me, I have two of the 1st gen Google versions, both displays are shot!

Looks like they've ditched the built in nightlight and usb port compared to the original Google version. Hopefully the display works longer than the original.

It's £59.99 on Currys website, so the offer might have ended ?
