No as it's controlled via Alexa or equivalent xx
Thanks OP. I've ordered a couple. I can't believe I can get free electricity from the Internet using these.

It's all very hush-hush but apparently after Mars lost their secret war against Britain they found all sorts of alien tech in the abandoned spaceships on Horsell Common. One of the things they found was a big golden box and in that box was the Internet. It was closely guarded for years but one day a foreign agent from the B.T.S. (the Jamaican Espionage Agency) managed to break in and download a copy onto a floppy disk. Unfortunately he was on the train making his way back to the Brixton headquarters when he went to the toilet for a smoke break. After finishing his rollup he was a little mellowed out and just fell asleep. He only awoke when the cleaner started banging on the door. Of course he rushed back to his seat but the only thing left were his British Rail sarnies, nobody had touched those.

After making such a colossal mistake the agent knew he would be in big trouble. His bosses would be after him for losing the Internet and British Intelligence would be after him for stealing it. He knew that the only way to save his life would be to go deep undercover, staying in the shadow (no, not Hank Marvin's group) so that's what he did. And from that day 'til this, nobody has ever seen Levi Roots again.

(Oh. You want to know about the free electricity from the Internet. Sorry, I was fibbing about that.)

Lol that's boss and I knew that that's why I used the words 'enlighten me' I thought I was being clever but obviously an epic fail but love the story

Works fine with my virgin one and mine is a 2/5 dual split xx
Recently got one of these off eBay for £5-6 ish, took about 2 weeks from a Chinese seller.
Got it working with Google Home - I think the functionality is dependent on the SmartLife app and all these different brands are just rebadges of the same product.

This does seem a bit better than the Chinese versions as it can take higher amps and conforms to the new BS standards xx

I got mine today and set it up on Android using Smart Life - Smart Living (search for Smart Life in Google and Alexa)

I see what you mean about the switch placement. I had to unplug something to gain access to the smart plug's switch. When put the other (normal sized) plug back in it was close enough to hold the switch in and reset the smart plug (ie no room between them)

Couldn't you just switch which side the smart switch was in I've plugged mine to the left hand side so had no issues xx

You certainly could. I just wanted people to know that the problem is worse than just limited access to the manual switch (which most people will probably never use after the initial setup anyway).

It's not really a problem if it's on the left side?
I'm looking for a plug that will run a kettle.
In the description this says 13Amp but the picture shows the plug as 10Amp.
Any other recommendations (preferably a 2 pack)?
