Interesting but knowing group-on i seriously doubt my chances of getting one of the known brands...
How can they even get away with this? There are lots of cheap Chinese examples in both the Standard and Premium options. It seems pretty clear that the chances of getting something decent are slim to non-existent.

They did this with another set of products. Think it was advent calendars. Everyone got cheap versions and basically ripped off.
Trading standards should be all over this sort of thing.

This is basically a raffle with a 1% chance of victory.

I wouldn’t bank on it with Groupon. Almost impossible to contact and then awful customer service when you do finally get in touch....!
I thought online raffles like this are not actually legal or legitimate as it's basically gambling and they don't have a gambling licence. I'm sure they've thought of this so they're probably fine but still...

eBay doesn't allow raffles like this any more and I'm pretty sure Groupon's raffle isn't regulated as they don't say how many of each item...

I don't know, I went on live chat with them about 11:30pm last night and i was answered within about a minute.

I suspect if you paid for the "premium" draw, you'd have a slightly higher chance of getting a passable watch, but i'd also wager that if you paid for the standard one, you'd likely get one of these ..
