Gu10?

You can just get an adapter
Wings1810/11/2019 18:48

He could be like me and have both

I've got all 3 types but B22 is the equivalent to E27.
Do these work with Google Home only or do you need a bridge too?
Look at the product option. It clearly states white bulb

You can get bayonet cap (prongs) to Edison cap (screw) adapter for pretty cheap on eBay, £1 or something and also really handy to have a few around the house.

I think IKEA sell them too.
Note that these are only 4.5Watts - that's about equivalent to the brightness of a 40W standard filament bulb - a little on the dim side maybe
I had these bulbs and the adaptors. I don't know if it was just me but the connection was always temperamental.

Yes the bulb is white... but the light it omits is a variety of colours. It’s white when not turned on and when it arrives in the post.
Don't waste your time with these, wait for black Friday and pick some up on amazon - standard B22's day aren't coming from China! I bought one on a lightening deal for about £8 - wished I'd just committed and bought a few at that price.

You're after B22 or GU10 bulbs then. If you can't get the type of bulb for your socket (e.g. this one is a E27) then adapters are available from lots of online shops for a few £.

They shouldn't do as they're connected to mains. You wont be able to change the colour if the wifi is off. But they wont turn off I think.
Do these work with Hue?
Does this work with British Gas Hive?
So can you just use an app for this, or do you have to install google home and say 'ok google give me a blue light' or something? Daughter has an iphone and hoping there's just an app you can install

Can the bulb be worked via mobile data?

Eg switch the bulb on when not in and from outside the property or will it only work if you are connected to the wifi

I would avoid these. They are not WiFi bulbs, but IR (hence the little remote, and not an app).

They are an absolute pain as I've found the signal doesn't always register.
You will also need an IR blaster device, an app like tasker, and another android device to install tasker in if you want any sort of Alexa integration.

i have a standard porch switch light, which is a pain as i need to turn it on before I head out (and sometiems forget)
Its a bayonet cap but have put in an adaptor light with screw fitting

Can i instead simply use this bulb in the link and use this remotely to turn on? or do i need something else first?
