Such a great idea - gives you some peace of mind especially if you're off on your holidays

It's a doorbell, a video camera, a two way intercom between the doorbell and your mobile phone, all wrapped into one.

Might be a goo alternative to theRing Video Doorbell (and a lot cheaper too)

Guys I found this code online for 9% off which took a few euro off for me anyway! TTSDS9OFF
Tomtop ripped HUKD people off with a dashcam that was no where near the spec advertised. AVOID
Guys this is a door bell, why are you discussing like it's a CCTV?! If someone wants to walk up and rip your door bell off, there's no stopping vandalism anyway. If you are after recording people approaching your door, you should have cctvs instead of a battery operated door bell with a camera… it's just a door bell to help you avoid the Jehovah's witnesses.
I think I am going to wait to see what Yi come up with for a video doorbell as it seems they are working on one at the moment. All there other cameras have been great so far.

Most of them are still in 720p, will hold for a couple months for 1080p.
these are all over wish and cheaper so i imagine it is all the same.i will give heat for the post because it is a lot cheaper than rip off ring prices

Well what do you expect it just 27 pounds delivered, if this works at all I would be very surprised, after all would seem the equivalent of the ring 1 which is still 90 odd pounds, not to mention that hello door bell which is a total rip off.

Has anyone used this, is it any good?

I always wanted to buy one. Not quite sure whether I should or not.

Has anyone had any experience with this particular one?

from the images its the same as this if not rebranded. very good reviews, worth a punt
Any information on the device security at all?
Looks ok but wondering what, if anything is there to prevent someone robbing this from the back plate?

Read a few amazon reviews and it seems that it doesn't it is easily removable but then again i guess that is where the cheap price comes in :), now if only people knew it was this cheap they wouldn't be as inclined to steal it

Seems like it only saves locally. Does anyone know if it's possible to save to NAS instead (so you have the video files of anyone stealing this)?

Battery (not included): 2 * 18650 Lithium Battery (Is this an error?)

Does this need to be connected to mains or not?
How much are the batteries? (if not included)
Are they both used at the same time (or is 1 a hot spare charging ready)

I've seen these before and the reports back were the delay on the video being sent to your phone was so much they don't really work, has this been resolved?

Does this come with a door bell too?

TomTop….. This will be a plastic box that does half of what is described... and when you return it, they will deny all knowledge, then rinse and repeat with every other customer

Have to agree. I now have 5 Yi cameras. Very impressed.
I got this from the last deal posted. I haven’t fitted it as like someone said above, it’s not secure. Someone can just pull it off and walk away with it. Useless design!

Is there a yi Wi-Fi pzt indoor Wi-Fi camera that takes 128gb sd cards and records on loop? It's like no such device exists.

No batteries, not an error. Quite a few China shops aren't shipping Lithium batteries with items now, hassle of declaring them and couriers don't want to transport them for safety reasons. Anyway, it keeps the price down, and you wouldn't trust the cheap value Lithiums they could've given you.

Same as Ring. I would be surprised if ring didn't buy from Topshop and rebrand them

Do burglars ring a door bell and give a smile into an obvious video link before breaking in whilst you're on holiday or not, or enter via the front door?
Managed to get it down to £22.29

Signed up for the first time and got points (then redeemed them) and also applied voucher code TTSDS9OFF.
What's the spanner for???

Got mine down to £21.28 at that price I don’t care if someone has it away.
Beware, this might steam video of your postman to the Chinese government
Can you buy additional plug in chimes?
Don't really get it. Burglars are unlikely to ring the doorbell.

Supposedly “Ring” replace theirs free if stolen .. I’m only just learning this now, as I completed last week and I’m interested in anything that will help me feel better about security!

That said, Ring is pricey. Unsure about this alternative..
It’ll get stolen or fall off the mount, don’t bother
Still saving for the Selfridges one ! two things that bother me and that is there either going to be out of stock or more likely out of date by the time i get there.

They definitely do ring or knock to establish if anyone is home - we've had it happen to us. If someone answers they will give some crap excuse ("sorry mate, got the wrong house") and move on. I had to give a statement to the police after someone did exactly that then went on to break in next door.

Can you view the camera on your phone randomly? Ie: just look without the doorbell being rung?

How do you know he broke in? He may have just got the wrong house

Not sure how to get link up,But if you type selfridges into the search box up the top of page it pops up when you have typed it in Ring Elite crown is what your looking for. Maybe different if using a mobile.

As I said the police came to me for a statement after he burgled my neighbours which was pretty conclusive. He did time for it too as I had a follow up letter to tell me when he was sentenced (with loads of others taken into consideration too).

Sounds like a gross miscarriage of justice. Poor bloke was just trying to find his house, rings some weird doorbell and before you know it he's off to prison!
