As a nation of hot drink lovers that waste up to 33 hours a year waiting for the kettle to boil, the iKettle will save valuable time.

With the ability to securely connect with 4G, you can now remote boil from anywhere outside of the home.

A brand new iOS and Android App, re-designed from the ground up packs in many new features in a simple and intuitive way to control your iKettle. Using the latest Blink-Up technology, your connection is now even more secure, giving you that extra peace of mind.

'Alexa, turn the kettle on.'

Another exciting first for the iKettle is the ability to now connect to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant-enabled devices or to wide range of other smart home devices through our IFTTT (If This Than That) services.

The customisable water temperature feature allows you to select any temperature between 20-100c. Ideal for connoisseurs that drink an array of diverse hot drinks, this feature ensures that the water doesn’t burn the tea leaves or coffee for a perfect cuppa every time. The water level sensor tells you exactly how much water is in your kettle directly on your App, so you know how many cups you can make.

The new Formula mode makes night feeds even easier, with the ability to connect to your Nest Cam with IFTTT, it will boil the water and then notify you when it is at your desired temperature.

Schedule the iKettle to start heating at any time with Wake Up mode, to make sure you get your day off to the best start possible. The iKettle also welcomes you home as soon as you walk in the door, select your normal time of arrival and the iKettle will ask if you would like to boil the kettle.

Never run out of your favourite tea again. Smarter now has an in-app replenish service, sourcing the best quality tea partners that deliver straight to your door. Merely select which tea you prefer from the range.

The all-new Smarter iKettle – 3rd Generation. More Features. Less Fuss.

My kettle works fine by shouting “Becki, can I have a cup of tea please”!

I love my gadgets but this is the one thing I’ve never seen any point in controlling with your phone.

‘Alexa, turn the kettle on’

Will this work? I thought anything through IFTTT would have to be ‘Alexa, trigger <custom command>’
I'm fully aboard the smart home express but I can't see the point in a smart kettle.
Alexa does work natively with this.

Got this to replace old smart kettle...

Works well. Laying in bed and will tell Alexa to turn on kettle so by the time I get to the kitchen the kettle will be boiled...

Iv got this kettle and i think it works well its connected to alexa which was easy to set up, very handy to switch on on the way home or when i wake up
We have a smart plug connected to our kettle, which is great. Set it up with enough water and switch it on when we go to bed and either tell Alexa to turn it on when we wake up or set a schedule on the app and it’s ready to pour into the tea pot when one of us kicks the other out of bed. I don’t see what difference a smart kettle would make so I’ll stick to the £6 smartplug setup.

The same as any other kettle, you can also see the water amount from the app.

Where did you get the smart plugs for £6 from?
We are really happy with this kettle! Boil it from the warmth of your bed and also good for when you are getting the baby asleep and you can make your tea straight away when you come downstairs. It buys you more time and with a baby that never sits still the price is totally worth it.

I bought it from Banggood when they had a promo discount. You’ve got to wait for delivery but it’s well worth it.

Smart kettle will probably monitor level of water as well so will not boil empty and not every normal kettle will work with your smart plug

I don’t ever recall turning a kettle on without first making sure there is water in it but yes I suppose that’s what you are paying the big bucks for.

I presume your kettle is not a rapid boil kettle then because the Sonoff plugs are only rated for 10Amps. Even with a standard kettle you could be potentially pulling over 2.4kW (10Amps). I'm also sure the Sonoff plugs have no internal fuse either. They are not suitable to run high current devices.

Yes you are right. Ours is not a rapid boil kettle. I have checked the amps drawn when the kettle is boiling water and it is well within the 10A rating of the plug.
