Lot of phone for the money
Nice find OP, personally I'm waiting for the Pro version to drop in price but still very tempted with this
I saw it yesterday for £215....the price fluctuates.
no band 20
Cheapest 5G phone ive seen. Im tempted, but my current phone still has some life in it
Considering that this is 5G, if that's something that you need, in the absence of a better price on the Pro, which has a better processor, this seems like a very respectable price for a decent bit of kit. Anything in the Xiaomi/Oppo stable seems to be getting pretty good these days.

Just bear in mind that there are some non-5G monsters available for around this price and a bit more.
Good first post...nfc and everything
Will thy is 5G work on O2 as I know Oneplus doesn’t
Can someone explain all the 5G bands / Frequencies in UK and thier equivalent nomenclatures, like N ....numbers.

This might help decision making easier, especially when travelling abroad, where there's 5G too.

And also which netowrks supports each of those bands !

How does this processor compare to the 720g?
Does anyone know if this phone is capable of using Three's 5G? Thanks

Hope this helps.....band 20 doesn't matter for 5g, also I've got a 4g phone on virgin mobile and virgin don't use band 20 even for 4g but some.other UK providers do use it

Seems not then as Three uses 3400MHz (5G) and 3600-4000MHz (5G)
This phone uses: 5G NR:n1/n41/n78/n79

or am I incorrect?
I know the latest Mi Mix 3 5G ships from UK and this from China - buy apart from that, which would you recommend? Camera and 5G are the two things I am looking out for - but if anyone thinks I should consider anything else, please let me know, Both are great deals.

After looking further 3 use band 42 and band 43......the 'n' numbers listed are confusing but it would appear this doesn't support UK 5g but I could be wrong

UK networks all use n78 band. I think that 4G site assigned 4G bands to the frequency used but in 5G terms it would classed under a different band. 4G B42 = 3400-3600MHz, 4G B43 = 3600-3800MHz, 5G n78 = 3300-3800MHz. If you check Mi Mix 3 5G specs on UK Mi Site it only has n78 for 5G< and is sold by Three, O2 and Vodafone. This 5G networks page< has a column for n78 band in the table. If you scroll down to UK all 4 of the major networks have bandwidth in this band only. This phone has n78 band so in theory it supports UK 5G. However it's uncertain if there are more requirements needed< for it to work.

The Mix 5G is easily the better Phone, the price is crazy for a device of it's quality and ceramic back.
The only issue is when will it get Android 10, all thre 5G device from 2019 bar Samsung have been ultra slow to get it. OP only recently updated the 7, OPPO and Xiaomi still nothing.
I would still get the Mix of the two, the Mrs had mine saying i had too many toys and she loves it.

Brilliant, thanks for the first post @cuongalpha98 - temperature seems to say people liked it
It seems the operators and Mfrs. are keen to keep the UK plebs ignorant about the bands/frequencies !

To be at their mercy when choosing devices and plans. It shouldnt be too difficult to highlight the bands and frequencies in a clearcut way. WIll be very useful when mass adoption starts becoming mainstream and customers can choose wisely, knowing which operators holds which bands/frequencies/N numbers !

No band 20 would signify its on the CN/ International Ron.

Does anyone know if banking apps will work on this. I heard if you have to slide load the playstore certain apps i.e. banking and google pay will fail security checks and not work?
