I'm already on the 12GB £8 Smarty plan, is there a way to switch to this? When I click Change plan from my dashboard is still shows as £10.

Its an old link its not valid. 24GB for £8 is available, chat on smarty portal and they'll change it to 24 GB for you!

You pay for what you get, smarty is definitely traffic managed, if you want fast speeds and good coverage go with EE

Yeah for sure. However I left EE as there’s two dead spots near me (that wasn’t before) and although my speed is worse I get signal where I need it and I get enough data to do what I need.
I’ve travelled around and it’s been fine, no worse than EE coverage (speed may be slower) and I can browse West Ham forums at the same speed debating if we sack Moyes or not.

I used to be with smarty but they're just so slow on the data its not worth the headache, simply can't use it. Signal is 3 but they cap it or something as its truly dead slow.

As I understand it the big 4 networks prioritise their own customers on their own masts, mvno's which piggyback the main networks get a lesser service.
I'm happy to be proved wrong on this, should anyone know better.
And I would add that anytime I've been on smarty, voxi etc the service has been pretty much indistinguishable from the main networks.

Currently on this plan except it was discounted to a fiver for three months - what's the likely hood of being able to switch to this by month 3?

Always tempted to try this or any other virtual networks` plan, but I strongly believe in data speed they just can not cope with the big guys, especially my EE SIM.

What you mean compete. They are owned by Three!

Three are utter garbage where I live. Despite showing full 4G signal, I was getting 1-2mbps. When I rang them I was always told it the phones. Left to EE and enjoy largely uninterrupted service, 50+mbps all the time. Got a deal for my kid’s phones with TalkMobile - 100GB or data and unlimited calls/texts on a 30 day rolling contract for £11.95 a month. They get anywhere between 40-70mbps and really good coverage. Wouldn’t have Three if it was free.

What's the best way to get on the EE network with 5G, 1 month contract, Wifi Calling and Roaming? I can see 1p Mobile as an option but are they any good?

I'm with BT right now but I'm switching broadband early next month so my data quota gets halved and there is no point sticking with them for mobile when that happens.
