Mobile contract providers tend to increase your monthly tariff by inflation - and exactly which measure depends on the network:

Three: a Fixed Annual Price Change, 4.5% this year.
O2: RPI plus 3.9%.
EE, Vodafone: Consumer Price Index plus 3.9%.

The date of the adjustment also varies by provider:

Three: April
O2: Announced in Feb, effective from April
EE: Announced in Jan, effective from March
Vodafone: Announced in Jan, effective from April

What is Sim only?

SIM only is just that, where you only pay for the minutes, texts, and data you use on your sim-card.

You will have to supply your own device i.e phone/tablet to insert the sim-card into, hence why it's called 'sim only'

Tracking at £8.50 on TopCashBack so far, ridiculous if it goes up to the £12.75...Being paid £2.75 to use 60GB for a month lol. Great deal, thanks for sharing.

P.S Smarty seemingly allow you to turn off 'auto renew' in the Dashboard so you can literally use this for a month without the trouble of cancelling direct debits or giving notice.

Sorry, you have evidenced why your own deal is freezing cold - "If you go …Sorry, you have evidenced why your own deal is freezing cold - "If you go to SMARTY directly via TopCashBack, you can get £15.75 cashback". Doubly so when many folk will get all cashback declined via AM as an existing customer.Where the 60GB is only for 12 months, that needs to be stated more prominently too.

I didn't mean to mislead, I tried to include all information as much I can which may benefit HUKD members. Regarding 60GB for 12 months, it is in the description. Also, please remember that I am a normal community member like you, not a professional salaried professional

Yes, if it was not there, I would have left out 'more prominently'. It is several paragraphs down. Personally much more pertinent than the promise of no mid-month price rises (has any operator ever done this?) & free EU roaming, which is not guaranteed to stay (possibly guaranteed not to?).

Been with Smarty since the beginning and other than a slightly patchy signal (as with all networks where I live) have never had a problem, I even find customer services to be good (although not instant)

I didn't think you meant to mislead. I simply tried to highlight information which the average reader may miss - I would have missed it if not aware it was probably there (one could ask if the professional advertising, which you are reasonably basing your post on, has an interest in such failure to find the pertinent facts?).

    Nothing personal.

So although on the Three network, they won't charge the £2 per day for EU coverage that Three do for contracts after Oct 21?

Same plan available on Smarty page directly, no need to go through middleman - bigger chance for cashback

There is a link to the smarty roaming policy above. I am not answering YES/NO because the policy may change between my reply and you reading it.

Absolutely incredible speeds on their 5g network. I'm in London and currently hitting 300mbps down...because I'm right underneath a mast.

If you're not underneath a mast? 10mbps download. In a crowded area? 1mbps download. Battery low and your phone has gone to battery saver mode, putting you onto 4g? On this network there is the potential for 0.01mbps download.

Smarty is fantastic value when it works. But be warned it can either be average to bad on 5g, and if you've not got a 5g phone and will be using the 4g it has the potential to be literally unusable.

I had no issues in London with smarty. Previously been on 3 mobile and signal was a disaster( no signal in central London inside, because of sharing mast between EE and 3 mobile was broken) . After few years being Vodafone I took Smarty. 300mbps 5G download speed in my workplace and St Mary's hospital too. Sadly voice connection isn't the same clear as was with Vodafone , but manageable. And London underground wi fi works without issues too now.

I joined Smarty for 25 days, and am now leaving for O2. If you're in London or Greater London you'll struggle to find a use for this much data as the network is inexcusably slow - 4G regularly struggled to get to 2mbps (or 0.15 in central Watford). 5G is patchy. They blame congestion on a neighbouring mast. Not a great excuse, but be wary that this affects call signal too so it regularly dips. This is my story of course, yours may differ

Okay, but that doesn't mean you are sitting under a Three mast, you might just be closer to one than you were previously hence the faster speeds you're getting.

Alright mate. My mistake not expecting someone to take my comment so literally. Didn't expect someone to analyse whether or not I was literally camping in a tent under a mast running speedtests on my phone.
