The date of the adjustment also varies by provider:

What is Sim only?
SIM only is just that, where you only pay for the minutes, texts, and data you use on your sim-card.
You will have to supply your own device i.e phone/tablet to insert the sim-card into, hence why it's called 'sim only'

sorted byIm an existing customer, and spoke to them on live chat, and I am now on this deal.
Seems like Smarty are definitely the way to go if you're in area of good Three coverage and can live with online only CS support and no free access to hotspots.
I'm currently trying out Lebara Vs Three. I may end with being (a) Smarty! (edited)
Signed up for Smarty.
Applied for a PAC transfer last Thursday (expecting to transfer the following day)
Got a message on the Friday to say it wasnt going to happen and would be Monday (OK fair enough)
PAC transfer happened on Monday
Data working but unable to make or receive calls and texts
CS trying to tell me it was because I had an Android Phone
On Tuesday , then they say its because there is call and sms barring is turned on on my account
They give me some code to type in #330*0000# or something but that doesn't work
They reset the pin to 0000 and that works , i can now makes and receive calls but still cant text (I need SMS for 2FA for things like banking and work etc so starting to get annoyed)
They again tell me its my android phone, its not of course
On Wed, they then say I'll need a new SIM (My first SIM took 2 weeks to arrive by post)
At this point I'd had enough and request a PAC from them, go to the local shop and buy a giffgaff sim for 75p
the same day I apply my new PAC to giffgaff
Yesterday my number is ported to Giffgaff and all calls and sms services are working fine!!
Would not recommend as a daily sim.
I noticed data speeds varied drastically.
However the inlaws have a smarty sim in a WIFI router in their caravan (for data use only) and it works a treat.
They gave me 3 options:
1. Do nothing at all, and the £10.68 will jump up to £22 in April.
2. Change plan
3. Leave
They informed me that I will not have Go Roaming at all. So I've opted to leave
I was similar - paying £8 for 12 GB (more than I need). Then I got a letter last November saying that they were unable to let me stay on that tariff and offered me a range of much worse tariffs. Got on chat and got a new contract on the same terms. Can't help feeling they will doing this to shake off all the people using roaming. Strangely my wife who is on the same tariff dodn't get that letter...
Ah yes, it that case you have no choice. Happened the same to my wife a month ago or but for some reason they didn't do the same to me (we both started the same plan at the same time)
Online chat, just ask and they will swap you over on your next renewal date, I was on the 30gb £10 offer then last month moved to the 40gb £10 offer and now moved to this one.
Very good price 👌
Works out @ £3.19 month for 3 years for unlimited everything (edited)
I've just joined Smarty (was Three) on Monday 21st March, and my number has been successfully ported at 3pm today. There will not be any increase, as this deal is for 12 months (well, that's my plan anyway, with double data 30+30GB and AYCE texts and minutes)
Also buddy I had the tplink 4g lte mifi device speeds was OK.. try to get a screen shot...
Then I got zte mu5001 mifi .. my god its so much faster and better Triple the speeds + can't live without it now and fits my needs with a cheap sim :))) beats my mates home fibre ...
These are the speeds I get now same position same sim just different device ...
Think its completely different seller and seller looks new (edited)
U cud of picked one up for free tho weeks back with a £20 1 month sim ... amd that's worst case sinario
Yes but I uploaded the cex deal it's £150 with 24 month warranty... cheapest place at the min and will.come.new in box (edited)
It was vodafone and all finished now buddy think there not getting anymore in
This was my link
hotukdeals.com/sha…905
But looks all sold out now but keep checking as always come back in stock...
Only other place is ebay but at the min there selling near £200 (edited)
Will give it a go, thanks
Some providers charge for roaming now and some also restrict the data use abroad.
They really should make this clear.
Check link below ;
smarty.co.uk/pla….ds
Thanks, I didn't read that far down!
If you stay with Three you'll keep go roaming, you'll lose it only if you change contract
My 20 year old son is on 100gb data with AYCE texts and minutes for £12 (a special one time offer last year)
just used live chat and ive changed to the deal
“Roam like home in the EU.” (edited)
they sent me a text about a month ago telling me i have automatically been switched to this plan.
quite handy as ive just started tethering.
Literally the same thing happened to me. only data, no calls and txt, tried on 3 different phones. I wonder if it is because i activated it later in the evening? Anyhow, after day 5 I gave up, told them I wanted to get a refund, opened a new account with a different email and used the spare smarty sim and it worked. After a day of it working, I then moved my orginal number over. Whatever you do, DO NOT PORT YOUR NUMBER OVER UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMATION THAT DATA, SMS and PHONE WORKS. I knew the problem was on their end. Unfortunately, with no customer service person to speak to ( only via chat) it was never going to get resolved. I bet you these guys that work for smarty push it up to three and get absolutely nothing back, That's why its probably cheaper. No support. It's not a problem if things work off the bat which 9 out 10 times it does, but it you have an issue then you're in trouble, its not going to be solved. (edited)
Ring? What ring? This is a low cost MVNO. Chat only
(which for some socialy challenged customers might actually be better ) .
When this offer first came out the other week, they said that would happen; everyone on the 30GB for £10 tariff got automatically upgraded UNLESS you also had a group discount in place in which case you need to live chat with them to get the group discount removed.
I currently have 4 SIMs with 30GB at £9pm each. But can bump them all up to 60GB for an extra £4pm
would u think :/ its a good deal ??? (edited)
Where you getting this deal from ?
A good deal but in my opinion a lot of money to commit upfront for a very long period of time
Yes I understand but most people spend thar in first year etc
Can you also share link thanks
I can't share link buddy think it's against rules .. I'd I mention ebay and u can take a look.. just copy the words on picture they shud come up (edited)
I would also read the reviews left not sure if genuine but on paper seems a very good deal if it works.
Also in listing did say EU Roaming for Vodafone but not 3
I did buddy... I had a snoop lol..
It seems like there business sims ...u pay the £115... like payg and
U get 3 years use.. I had something similar in past had a 2 year one.. worked out at £2.50 month for 2 years I couldn't fault it... but seller didn't sell them anymore and I would of been happy with another one lol.. (edited)
“Roam like home in the EU.”
That's incorrect. Like at home means the full 60GB.
Roaming is maximum 12GB across all data packages.
Since Brexit the "roam like at home" ceased to exist on all providers.
Good thing about this promo is that is for existing customers too.
Bad thing, they can pull it whilst you have it within the 12 months (T&C point 7) so it's not guaranteed (it's unheard of, thought) (edited)
Then you should go for it, as seems a bargain
I'm on it.. :))) as my house internet is £18 month so I'm thinking around 6 month I'm break even and still have 30 months left
