As title. This was over £400 last time I looked. Great performance and good reviews from a quality brand. Might just be able to blag a 5 year warranty too!!

smeguk.com/ext…es/

Bought an almost identical model (DRF81AUK) for almost £150 more the other day from AO.com. That was the cheapest then. Would have bought this one though at this price.

So far, performance is excellent. No more shrinking of clothes.

Can click and collect but otherwise cheapest delivery is £9.95

Great price, £150 more at other retailers, but nearly all the reviews on Pricespy are shocking about Appliances Direct.
Further £14.00 off if you take a 1 month trial of Which (£15.00 off via voucher less the £1.00 cost of the 1 month trial - cancel membership immediately after ordering) via AD website. Voucher valid for 2 days after subscribing and available on all orders over £200.
Every little helps!
Terrible products Smeg, very unreliable in my exp. Get a Miele.
Which give it a good review but not a best buy because of long drying times.
But they reviewed it at the £425 price range.

Bosch WTYH6790GB is the best but £800.
Budget Beko DPH8756W at £500 all the rest are 650-1000.

I've moaned about Smeg on a few threads - they are NOT a quality brand, as far as my experience (do a bit of digging for reviews). My Smeg cooker has had few rubber door seals replaced (who ever heard of oven door seals falling off - never happened to me with my two previous cookers!), a thermocouple has went on one gas hob, the element on the oven fan died (replaced it myself).

My cooker doesn't even get a lot of use - I use my combi microwave the most! They're awful.

Stop being so Miele mouthed.
Remember many decades ago when an apprentice the engineer said that heat pumps where going to be revolutionary for heating and cooling and finally see one being for use in the home .
Good price if this is what you want BUT with my ex-appliance engineer hat on.

Smeg are an absolute PITA to get parts for and this is more complex than a normal tumble drier thus more to go wrong.

Plus you need to do the sums as to whether you save money. This is about 40% more efficient than a vented dryer. If you do the "standard" 120 cycles a year on a £200 vented dryer vs this then it would take you 8 years to save the energy just to break even - if nothing breaks.

Heat pumps are very clever technology but unless you use your tumble dryer a lot you have to do your sums. I think it is difficult to justify unless you are spending more and realistically planning on keeping it for more than ten years.

My cooker is branded White Westinghouse (builder installed) but spares have been branded SMEG so I guess they're the same. I got through four expensive door seals (£20+) before I realised the hinges were failing so the door damaged the seals. Fine now and, yes, the hinges were branded SMEG!
Is there not a Red Dwarf edition? Oh well.

One of their spares suppliers is a company called Arcelik as well. Smeg Arcelik... what a combination.

Aren't most heat pump dryers like this? My Bosch one takes a while, buy it only sips the electric so not that bothered.

Yep, two Smeg dishwashers later, won't have another , expensive rubbish
Now back up to £427, sadly missed out, anyone got any recommendations for a condenser dryer for about £300

We’ve been using this for over a year, happy with performance. Of course not as good and efficient as our previous gas fired tumble dryer
I'd never heard of Smeg being quality before. Well-known for their iconic fridge design, but quality? Hmm.
Smeg.

I’m with most of the comments on here. Sadly, I’d never ever recommend a Smeg product - regardless of the price/saving.

I’ve spend thousands on their appliance and had problems with pretty much EVERY product. They’re after care is awful and makes having issues even worse.

Cant recommend

Keep an eye out for a Bosch which come up at that price from time to time or save your money and buy a Beko.

Hinges look okay as far as I can see, but worth knowing Just shoddily manufactured, I think. I'm on my third, as far as I can remember! And they are usually around £20 a pop so it adds up...
DO NOT BUY FROM APPLIANCES DIRECT!!!!!!! Delivered me a washing machine with a HUGE dent in it but didn’t notice at the time. They would not collect it and I had to pay to return it, £150 to return a dented machine. BEWARE unless you live near their shop........
The price seems to have gone up, I clicked "get deal" link but the price showing is over £400! 33579247-Tksp5.jpg
