Have ordered one. Couldn't afford a Miele so I hope this was the next best thing.

Reminds me of Red Dwarf lol

Well worth the extra money.

Had a SMEG washer/dryer a few years ago, complete waste of money..i would never ever buy anything made by SMEG...absolute crap!

Had a SMEG

really now.

I bought a stainless steel SMEG dishwasher about 6 years ago and kept for 5 years. It cost me £500 then and I thought because it was expensive it would be reliable.

It broke down about 4 times during the 5 years, and SMEG service is so expensive, over £100 just to come out. Spent hours on UK whitegoods forums looking for solutions to the problems I had.
In the end I was glad to get rid off it. Now got a zanussi and hasn't missed a beat.

From memory I think these are Italian designed or manufactured. If you want quality buy a German brand (bosch, miele) or go for a cheaper zanussi which will not be as reliable but should be much cheaper to repair.

Looking at various websites it seems like this Dishwasher is one that has been specifically built by SMEG for DSGi (So therefore "downbuilt" in terms of materials etc). There's also a lot of reviews from Reevoo on the Dixons site, main complaints seem to be that the glass holder doesn't hold glasses well (some people have had glasses broken) and also the utensil holder seems to not be too stable in the rack and falls over a lot.

SMEG relies on paying it's designers more than it's engineers resulting in good looking often retro products that often break down ending up eventually in outlets or the tip!!!!!
Keeep clear.
The best are Bosch or if you can afford them Miele.

Got a smeg dishwasher whihc is probably the older version of this s few years ago and its been great

Ive got the same dishwasher as this purchased from electricshop.com. Paid more but it comes with a 5 year warranty

bought this for 269.99 + 10 per cent quidco - looks great and is OK a a washer - built for currys or not is a decent price for a stainless steel fronted branded dishwasher

Bought a SMEG microwave, because it was the only thing that would fit in as a replacement built-in when the original went, cost £400, was good but broke down completely a week after the first 12 months! (They wanted £200 to repair it) Went out and got a £100 Samsung (not built in) going strong after 2 years with no problems what-so-ever. Don't think that buying SMEG will buy you quality, it just buys you a so called 'Good Brand Name', which personally I don't think is earned in any way

I bought this same dishwasher a few weeks ago. It looks fantastic but its not great as a dishwasher. It does not leave the dishes dry and has does not seem to drain properly.

Can't be that bad can it? I'll give my opinion when I get mine, hope it's decent.

totally agree, just look at their overpriced fridges.....was going to buy one but put off buy the poor reviews and problems...bought a samsung fridge instead fairly expensive for a 600mm fridge (£700ish) but superb quality

bought a miele washing machine and thats superb too...you usualy get what you pay for

prob go for a meile, siemens, neff or bosch dishwasher....bosch excel has good reviews

style over substance

then again for £250 and comparing other d/w at this price to be fair this is an excellent price for a reasonable d/w

Installed the dishwasher, it's fantastic. I'm using all Lidl branded products to clean with as recommended on moneysupermarket. It cleans everything spotless and drys it perfectly. Everything seems great to me. I'd fully recommend it.
