Kudos to shadey12 who mentioned this here hotukdeals.com/com…846 on the original thread I put up nearly a month ago.

I didn't find these anywhere in recent weeks, but they're reappearing in stores, I'm guessing in time for Valentine's Day From their online leaflet here: lidl-flyer.com/

Both gender options are Eau De Parfum.
2887106.jpgBlurb from my earlier thread:

Lidl's new perfume range in full

Aura De Aquamarina - A beautiful fresh floral fragrance ideal for the warmer months, or maybe holidays in the Mediterranean sun.
*Like Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioia - though another reviewer suggests it's like Armani She

Aura D’Elle – A floral perfume with notes of Bulgarian Rose and White Jasmine.
*Similar to NARCISO RODRIGUEZ for her

Aura Angelica - A scent that combines musky, woody aromas with deep floral notes.
*Dupe of Thierry Mugler Angel

Aura De Amor – A fruity fragrance with a mix of mandarin, melati jasmine, sandalwood and musk.
*Supposedly Cacharel Amor Amor

Aura De Esplendor – An opulent, fruity-floral perfume with notes of rose with a hint of delicate jasmine.
*Like Dior J'Adore

Aura New York - Inspired by New York City’s glamour, this fragrance is vibrant and spirited.
*Dupe of DKNY Women

Aura En Rose – Contains the scents of an entire bouquet of flowers, perfect for date night.
*Similar to Lancome La Vie Est Belle

Aura Unicke - A citrus floral fragrance, combining bright notes of mandarin orange, papaya and bergamon.
*Like CK One

  • Essence Victory smells like Paco Rabanne Invictus
  • Essence Aqua Fresh smells like Acqua Di Gio Homme
  • Essence Unicko smells like Solo Loewe

(thanks to Playpennies' post earlier playpennies.com/val…141 for the update on the Essence scents)

Nothing says ‘Happy Valentines Day’ like giving the wife a bottle of Lidl’s copy perfume. I think I’ll skip this one, I haven’t got the time to sit in A&E for 5 hours.

I bought last time on offer. Simply a waste of money in my opinion. Becomes skin scent in 5 mins, a synthetic mess. Better to spent few pounds extra to get decent one from superdrug. Just giving my feedback.

Heat just for the op @louiselouise
Heat for post. At £5 a bottle you can afford to re apply if longevity is not good. Will deffinetly be giving these a go ,both men and womens just to see if they actually smell anything like the branded ones which are crazy money!

Which one did you get Baz417 and what was it a dupe of, so I can update the list? I did add a few reviews the last time in the previous thread, but it was the Mens' Essence varieties I struggled to get information for. I'm heading out soon but wil have a better search later.

I'm sure many men are aware of Lidl's X-Bolt (Boss Bottled) and the newer No1 (1 Million) scents, by now (not part of this offer) - though they come in 50ml bottles and are £3.99, sometimes X-Bolt is on offer at £1.99.

Essence Unicko (Loewe Solo copy) got a rave review on Basenotes: basenotes.net/thr…ni)

Lidl do Valentine's Day Specials every year, down to you what you buy your significant other For a few years they sold the Suddenly Madame Glamour (Coco Mademoiselle a-like) Candle and the Body Lotion/Shower Gel Sets around this time of year. I know this because my sister would get me to pick them up for her

As for Shh! by Jade Goody, amazingly this is still in the shops/online, and still selling...lots of the fragrance hounds actually LIKE it...Controversial is absolutely rank though.

Not seeing any online updates/new reviews about Aura (Ladies') or Essence (Mens') but there's a few uploads on Youtube about the Aura range, alas, not in English.

Playpennies playpennies.com/val…141 (would love to know where they found this out as I really had bother finding info about the Essence/Mens' scents) says (assuming this is accurate!)

  • Essence Victory smells like Paco Rabanne Invictus
  • Essence Aqua Fresh smells like Acqua Di Gio Homme
  • Essence Unicko smells like Solo Loewe
  • Essence Dark Blue smells like Hugo Boss Dark Blue

So, I will update the list - again, I can't confirm these are 100%, as some reviewers weren't sure about Aura New York (some said DKNY Women, one said DKNY Be Delicious!) - quote from the original HUKD thread,

This Spanish blogger cafe-con-canela.blogspot.be/201…tml says Aura New York smells like DKNY Be Delicious, not DKNY Woman

but I assume they are

*Later Edit: I've sniffed it, Aura New York does smell like DKNY Woman

That's the link I added to the original thread a month ago - I added what I could from that, and the articles available at the time hotukdeals.com/dea…942
Typically, The Sun's information is a bit flakey.

The esteemed publication The Sun had a story just over a month ago, stating that Lidl too are doing a La Vie Est Belle copy, called Aura En Rose, £4.99 instead of their usual £3.99. thesun.co.uk/fab…ap/ (the Sun story is from 30th November 2017)

I also said,
Can't see them on the Lidl dot co uk website, but mumsnet mentions "Aura By Suddenly" scents in passing as far back as August 2017 (which kinda contradicts the release date The Sun mentioned above!) mumsnet.com/Tal…ain

I bought the Aqua fresh and Essence Unicko last time and although I cant offer opinion on if they do or don't smell like the fragrances they compare them to ( as never tried them) can confirm they are both really nice and will be picking up some more Thursday . Also got a bottle of the angelica for a friend and she says even her mates think she's wearing her proper angel fragrance.
Well, I shall be going to my local LIDL next thursday then.
Thanks OP
I'm going to go and test some perfume in Boots then go across the retail park and test Lidl's to see how they compare.
Don't forget tomorrow I'm waiting in on a delivery but I'll hot foot it to Lidl as soon as I can, sis wants some!!
As A bit of an aftershave collector ringing in various fragrances from paco rabanne invictus to Bvlgari amara ( my personal favourite) I can honestly say these are decent . I would say for day to day wear they do the job and I've had a good few nice compliments
Here's the slightly-wonky display, on an end aisle at the Special offers, quite near the freezers, around 4.45pm in Duke Street, Glasgow today. Testers out for every scent* (though my olfactory powers are diminished due to a bad cold) - all smell amazing to my nose, from what my stuffiness can make out

Lidl have surpassed themselves with this one - even the (womens') bottles look classier than the infamous Suddenly Madame Glamour - which looked a tad cheap with the ordinary looking white plastic cap. Can't comment on longevity yet.
33225889-esRym.jpgFor some reason HUKD's website downgrades the resolution on images, better quality link here (which you can zoom in on) imgur.com/wJO…SEU

*Edit: Though, thinking about it, don't think there was a Tester out for Aura De Amor (not nicked, I hope!!).

Can't believe I forgot to go to Lidl today!!!!!
Here's a Spanish blogger from November 2016 discussing Aura Angelica (dupe of Thierry Mugler Angel - got this for sis, had a sniff in store, but I prefer Alien ) translate.google.co.uk/tra…rch

Still not seeing much from UK/Irish beauty bloggers about these scents - other than copy/pasted press release blurb, though it seems Aura and Essence have appeared in stores a few times before November 2017. Haven't seen them before in my local Glaswegian Lidls

I bought Aura De Aquamarina (Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioia), Aura D'Elle (Narciso Rodriguez), Aura De Esplendor (Dior J'Adore)..though my nose is still a bit bunged up and I couldn't test them fairly yet as I only get a muffled interpretation. I bought Essence Unicko for boyf.

Sister got Aura D'Elle, Aura Rose (La Vie Est Belle) and Aura Angelica (Thierry Mugler Angel), which I'll take up tomorrow

All the Mens' fragrances smelt really good to me and it was hard to choose, but I went with the only English rave feedback I've seen online, so far - Essence Unicko (Solo Loewe)

The Lidl assistant probably wondered why this woman was buying seven different scents, haha.

Hopefully UK blog and forum discussions will emerge for these scents soon, it's all European reviews I'm seeing

The packaging looks a bit more upmarket, as do the bottles, and the 100ml size is amazing, I think they're a bargain. I will update on longevity once my sinuses get back to full capacity, haha.

Re, Aura New York, I did comment earlier that

This Spanish blogger cafe-con-canela.blogspot.be/201…tml says Aura New York smells like DKNY Be Delicious, not DKNY Woman

but I buy DKNY Woman every year for my sister at Xmas (more or less) and know it well as she wears it most days to work, I would say it's a DKNY Woman dupe, not Be Delicious.

Also, sorin.popa said on the older thread hotukdeals.com/com…262 about Gibellini Dark Blue,

G. Belini Dark Blue smells like Dolce&Gabbana Light blue for him

Can't comment either way as I'm not familiar with D&G Light Blue (for him) or Hugo Boss Dark Blue!

Here's an English review (some) of the Aura scents. Not sure she's correct about Aura Unicke being a female Solo Loewe, though:
Edit: My nose is pretty much back to normal (took a while)..I've opened two of my Aura scents so far. I'd say they last around 3-4 hours (tried De Aquamarina for a few days, which I really love, and isn't typically the sort of perfume I'd buy. Just tried De Esplendor tonight).

Haven't opened the third, D'Elle, yet. One thing I will say that I'm not that happy about is that BOTH of the perfumes I've opened have had the metal sprayer stuck in the plastic lid from new, and I've had to prise them out. But I can't expect top-notch quality control for £4.99.

The scents themselves, so far, smell much classier than their price tag and I'm really impressed with them. Unfortunately I don't have any of the authentic scents to compare.

Another Edit: 12 hours later, can still smell a faint scent of De Esplendor Opened D'Elle, which didn't have the cap stuck, luckily (which smells a bit like SJP's Lovely, to me).

debstar2005 (Youtube reviewer above) did a follow-up review of the other Aura scents:
