Reduced from £22.99 to £5.99 awesome heavy duty chain, same chain is listed again onscrewfix site at £22.99 so don’t know if they messed up but I purchased one and it’s a massive bargain.

I looked at the Smith & Locke chains they had a while ago with the manager, links are simply pressed
screwfix.com/p/s…19p I never looked at this type, the hex links, just the round link plastic sheathe type

I can read, the S&L chains I saw in Screwfix were NOT welded.
The links are a flush fit, so might look welded at a glance.

Fair enough, cheaping out on chains to lock up important stuff has always seemed like a bad idea to me anyway.

I’m looking at it now and the links look welded, also there is no way you could open this with 2 spanner’s in 10 seconds unless your the hulk

Bought that chain couple weeks ago and i can confirm that links are welded. And i just tried break link using wrenches - no chance, but i'm pretty sure that You could cut that with big enough bolt cutters.

I have one of these and the links are welded
Let's see the weld please, the ones that were in my local store were 100% not welded and identical to pic above.
