Ordered. Thanks
Was intrigued as to which distillery this is coming from, but it seems the common guess is that this is Ardbeg, shame as I'm not all that keen on Ardbeg!
Bought this last year on offer and whilst it was decent it wasn't anywhere near as smokey as I thought it would be.

10 year old Laphroaig or Kilchoman is smokier.

Can't be Ardbeg then?
Can anybody recommend a good whisky under £50? It is for a present.

No experience at all with Whisky. I live in Scotland and I'm visiting the family for Christmas. I would like to take a nice bottle as gift to share with my brothers.

Well that Redbreast 12 that was on here yesterday is lovely, and a bargain.

This is a lovely whisky but it's an acquired taste so unless you know they like Islay whisky I'd avoid this deal! Something like Dalwhinnie is usually a safe bet.

Isle Of Jura 10 year old. Usually goes down to 25-30 on sale. Great all rounder and a nice bottle too
I love Islay whisky, smokier the better. OMG this is amazing. So smooth I don’t even need ice. Thanks OP! 🥃

Tbh that's not a very good whisky, and especially not for a present.
I would go for the Bunnahabhain 12 because it's just perfect for the price.

Not sure if presenting a Scot with an Irish whiskey in Scotland is a beach of etiquette? I think the Bunnahabhain is a better bet.
Scapa is a very safe bet too.
