£24.99 for a Growler isn't bad
Great deal but I would be weary of the Anki stuff - they're practically giving it away now since the company went bust. They have a 3rd party contractor managing the apps / updates but its only a matter of time before that money runs out and then tablet/phone update comes along and boom, no longer compatible and your left with useless stuff. It was the same with the furbys - they never bothered updating the apps so they eventually became incompatible with latest phone updates. I really hope anki open source their stuff and let the community continue supporting it

Will see if i can find out for you
I’ve been told if I was to get this, put the app on an old phone & turn updates off so it doesn’t update, then it’s still useable in the future because the company have gone bust?

At the moment, the app seems to still be up to date. The statement on their website:

"We are taking steps to assure that customers will continue to enjoy continued use of our products. In order to provide long term support of our products, Anki has contracted our most senior leaders and hands-on engineers across all the technical areas involved in maintaining the operation and functionality in the existing products and apps. Ongoing operations for existing products typically require little to no active intervention, but we have arranged for any support in the event it does become necessary. Vector is the only product with a notable cloud component, and the contracted team is heavily staffed in that area."

But essentially yes, for complete future proof it would be best to stay off updates (assuming something in their software doesn't require a cloud component that could be switched off).

Thank you, I think either way if it does go down to the price expected it’s worth it, kids will probably get fed up if it before anything goes wrong anyway
Half price xbox one X incoming! £175
Ohhh... I thought Anki was gonna be 25 notes. No thanks!

No idea, sorry. The offer isn't live yet.
I thought this was a great deal last time, and bought it, only to find out that most the apps aren't going to be supported by Anki, and its only a matter of time until this can't be used. Didn't want to risk putting it up for Christmas so I took it back.
Wonder if any PJ Masks toys will be on sale?
Hopefully amazon will price match too x
Happy days, any bargains are a big help

Oh didn’t know that. Out of curiosity you got a link to where they said that? They have a lot of proprietary AI stuff on the cloud that is worth a fair amount so if they release that it would be pretty cool. Also, you know how to get an older furby working on a non jail broken iPhone? I couldn’t find anything on the App Store?

Doesn't come with instructions though.
spoiler alert: that Nerf gun is a nowhere near as powerful as you would think, given the size.
