As usual, this deal is not for everyone.
Maplin is selling 3 electronics kits for kids.
1. Snap Circuit Junior (100 projects) - £14.99 - code N65CR
2. Snap Circuits (300 projects) - £29.99 - code N66CR
3. Snap Circuits Extreme (750 projects) - £49.99 - code N67CR

You can get £3 off when buying the most expensive one (subscribe to newsletter and you'll get voucher codes).

These kits are designed for kids, so no soldering involved. Projects include flashlights, sirens, music playback, motors, etc. The Extreme also got PC connection, and it is sort of basic oscilloscope on your computer.
Note that 100-in-1, 300-in-1, etc is misleading as many of the projects are just a slight variation on the same theme.

Overall, these kits are a great way to introduce principles of electronics to your kids.

Thanks for reading this long posting, now you can vote cold

Not sure if it's hot or not (not voting), but don't forget quidco for a few more pennies off (free del over £35 IIRC)!

Yes, you are right, there is 5% on Quidco, thanks for the tip.
I bought mine from store and they did honour electronic voucher.

Yep, used the email codes many times instore. Sorry to see this going icy - I did think it was more a good product rather than hot price. Hope your kids enjoy it anyhow. I do wonder if it might be fun for big kids too!

Santa got these at this price. We have learnt a bit and had good fun with them.
Purchased an Aldi Reciva radio last week. It has changed my life. Cheers.

I don't care about cold votes, but it would be nice if people would give a reason for it. I guess I am just asking for too much effort.

The product is very good. The project guide is well-written and illustrated although I would like to see a bit more explanation on electronics' principles. My kids are really crazy about this kit, they made it to project 40 in several hours and now I am facing serious problem how to send them to bed

I hope you enjoy your Reciva radio - this is a very good product although with some flaws. Have you sharpfined it already?

Take out the batteries (from the kids or the kit LOL)?

I am still amazed at its unmodified ability. I have seen sharpfin refered to on Reciva forums but do not understand it's relevance to my receiver. If you have info you could easily pm me I would be grateful.

I searched all over for these and Maplins the cheapest Ive found, so ive voted it HOT, its also worth ordering spare bulbs at the same time as they get blown easily.
