Enough with the raspberry comments please.
Not everyone knows/wants/has time to pre load games
Rose tinted glasses job this console - I traded mine in after a couple of weeks, couldn’t believe how bad the games looked from how I remembered them!

I understand
But I don’t have a computer or a laptop
And I wouldn’t know where to start
Had a pi, was a PITA with the Bluetooth controller trying to keep it synced. Got one of these instead - much more family friendly. Can’t imagine trying to explain to the 4yr old how to drop in to a terminal session to redo the Bluetooth connection!

Not everyone likes to pirate games, may want this as a gift, its eaiser to manage, etc.

Are you still watching tv on a 14” black & white set . Which TV do you enjoy the content more on?
That’s a ridiculous analogy. Tvs are only about the graphics. I have both the SNES and new mini & the Atari flashback 8 and latest mega drive flashback and the games hold up very well , the graphic should we’re always stylised so actually date a lot better than graphics from newer systems

I’ve actually got a 55” OLED what have you got? Anyone who judges a game purely by graphics is playing for the wrong reasons. I’m gonna guess you’re in your 20’s & think Spyro the Dragon was cool
I have a Raspberry Pi and have used retro pie but still wanted an official SNES mini. Some people just want a product that looks near identical to the original console / controller / box with a nice slick software interface and good build quality. If someone can afford to buy one then let them, not everyone wants a substitute product.

Squint like you're using an old CRT TV

I’ve got a 65” CRT, cost me 3500 in 1990 and I’m 51. Prey tell, who is this spyro the dragon you speak of?

These can also be modded. It's pretty simple. Mine holds 241 games at the moment including Nes, Snes, Sega genesis and Mame games such as Simpson's Arcade game and Super sidekicks. I think it can also play n64 and ps1 games although I'm yet to delve into that!

A few N64 games are meant to work but the ones I tried ran like I also tried a few PS1 games, maybe I'm misremembering but I don't recall them looking as bad as they do on the snes, and obviously filesize is an issue unless you use a USB stick or DL 'rips'.

I'm sticking to 8/16 bit games, 3D games don't age very well anyway.

Like SNES controllers A lot nicer than the square pieces of **** you got with the Master System/NES, another reason I don't get why people want a NES mini, the other being it's basically the same hardware as the SNES mini.
