I've never seen them at that price on Amazon and I've had an email alert set up for 2 months that has never been triggered.

They have scalpers selling them for £150 with prime delivery.

Actually. Just checked Prime Now. They have them in stock at £69.99

You can with a Pi 3, which is less than half the price of the Shield for all everything including 2x controllers, 32gb card, housing case and power lead.

Donkey Kong doesn't work on a Pi? Does it work on the Shield? I could have sworn my kate has Donkey on his Pi, hes bought a n64 style pad to play games on it, pretty cool.

Well yeah, i mentioned the PI above, but you singled out the Shield.

Shield is quite a lot better at emulation though

No idea on the new technology but every emulator I've tried in the past Donkey Kong was very slow as if it takes 100% of memory and processor power, one of the best games on the Snes

nothing for you maybe because you cannot understand it?it's not just abut playing old games, it's about nostalgia and a neat, cute,LEGIT system that resembles the original hardware and is made by same company.withreal official controller and smooth performance.

Nothing. But it's impossible for your Shield TV or Rasp Pi build to authentically emulate the experience of the SNES, with the controllers, the look and feel of the unit. Nintendo focused on a tight recreation of the experience, apart from giving us carts to blow on though! People aren't paying for the software. They're paying to playing the software on a recreated SNES that's produced by Nintendo. Until Nintendo actually produced one, you couldn't really even buy that sort of experience over the counter. (cue jokes about stock shortages)

impossible................................. that's the word which stood out.

Strongly disagree though, i had a Super Famicom 1 Month after Jap release with Final FIght, and owned and played just about every game and with retroarch i get a perfect experience. You don't stare at the console during gaming, so the look is irrelevant?

just buy the original console for the experience if you must

This is money for old rope,
