They were very cheeky and added £10 from yesterday's price but back in stock for click and collect so maybe they are staggering stock...better hurry though!

Good option for those who missed the Nintendo store @£69.99 and hopefully will reduce before shipping.

Pre-orders only available at some select stores now:
Bangor
Forestside
Boucher Road
Ballymena
Derry/Londondary
Newry
Newtownabbey

Deliberated yesterday and missed out everywhere so thanks for the heads up. May not keep it or will pass to a friend but good to have the option
Well that was quick...oos now.
Got my click and collect order in for £69.99 last night. Bit cheeky of them to add £10 on, given that the Nintendo Store is selling it for £69.99, but it's probably the least scalpiest price we'll see for it this side of Christmas (and likely beyond).
Pardon my ignorance, but why is everyone so mad about buying these? Im in to my gaming but Im not getting the hype about these consoles. Isnt it cheaper to buy a 2nd hand original snes and play that way??
Excellent. Thanks mate.
oos everywhere but bangor

they won't say it but about 90% of the people refreshing the feed constantly are just looking to resell them
Working SNES consoles do not go cheap nowadays and then there is the 21 games some of which could be upwards of £50-60 each, add to that some of the games included were not released in europe as well as the never before released starfox 2, also it looks awesome

I can understand why some people won't be fussed, but have you seen the price of some SNES game carts? There are single games from the list of 20 available that sell for more than the price of the mini.

Sad but true!

Not really a fan of Nintendo in this day and age, but why is this deal cold? Would people rather pay RRP, or over the odds at places like Ebay?
Are these likely to be on general sale when they're released in September (i.e. at Amazon)?
Are Nintendo just making a limited number?

Thanks.
This, like the mini NES, allows you to connect to your tv using HDMI, and it will do a good job of displaying it. If you hooked an original SNES up to a modern tv now, the image would look utter ****

If you want one, pre-order! Don't gamble on the talk of Nintendo making loads of these and risking it launch day

I'm still getting one because I'm a mug

I just searched for them on ebay out of curiosity. I didnt realise how much snes had held their price/inflated their price. I used to buy second hand psone games around 10 years ago and they were always below £10. I just persumed all retro consoles were in the same boat.

I wish that was the case. There's loads I want! I've even noticed the Megadrive prices going up as well recently. But there is definitely some invisible premium Nintendo tax that gets applied to their older gaming consoles and games.

Mad for them because...
1. Nostalgia factor.
2. Original SNES's can break at any time.
3. Same for the carts.
4. It's not cheaper. Not even cheaper to buy on VC.
5. Probably be a collectible limited run (although I hope not).
6. HDMI output.
7. Running at the proper 60Hz instead of 50Hz.
8. They come with a shop backed guarantee.
9. New instead of used.

OK thanks.

Is it possible to pre-order one via Nintendo?
If I click this link store.nintendo.co.uk/nin…ist?
I don't see anywhere to order one, even after I've created an account.

Its a confirmed limited run product, it will be discontinued from productions at the end of year, which likely means end of March 2018.

10. This is the first time that StarFox 2 has been released. The rom on the internet is incomplete.

I was playing Street Fighter 2 Roadrash 2 and Herzog with mates only last night. Then straight on to 4 player Goldeneye on N64. Great fun even now!

Haha yeah, you cant beat a bit of goldeneye multiplayer. I was going to add to your "invisible premium nintendo tax" by saying that even their later consoles have held their prices. I was looking at the 2DS and 3DS because my girlfriend is after one, they still seem to be on the high side.

You might as well add Earthbound and Mario RPG if you're comparing mini-SNES with a used SNES+Carts because as far as I'm aware, those two were never released in the UK. Available on VC though of course...

Megaman X is about £40-60 for a loose cart, Earthbound is around £30-40 loose, Secret of Mans also goes for high prices. Some games such Final Fantasy III and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars were never even released for the SNES in the UK, All the other games in the list all go for tidy sums too. I would thing it would cost you several hundred pounds, maybe pushing a $1000 to get these on an original cart and a snes to play them on

or you could just get a flash cart for about £50 and put any games you want on there and play on a real snes.
