Great deal. But imho (and many others too!) this is the ugly and far inferior US case. The Japanese/European design is much, much nicer!

You'd be surprised I like custard & cream too

Doesn't look too pretty. Better to go for the nespi case.
What do they class as vintage plastic? Has it been recycled from an old Super Nintendo?
while cool I really feel the Pi is getting left behind when it comes the emulation. Unless all you want is SNES/Megadrive and older there are better albeit slightly more expensive options available now.

However for those using one this is a nice case and a good price, so still a hot from me. I do wish it was easier to find one that looks like the UK SNES though.

Somewhat hard to get hold of at a non marked up price without importing atm but I've had my eye on the Odroid XU-4. There's also stuff like the Asus tinkerboard which falls between the Pi and the Odroid in performance.

I would ok, but not with an unsightly chnk carved out of it on the side.

They did a cracking job on the nespi case. It is a beautiful thing. They raised the bar hugely with that one creation.

    Not quite - I'd like a Commodore 16 case.

It is a bit - I was hoping the next hardware revision (which turned out to be the 3 B+) would be powerful enough to run emulators for a few more demanding consoles more stably, such as the N64, Dreamcast and PSP (personal preferences) but it turned out to be an incremental upgrade. I don't know what the best catch-all setup for emulators is at the moment, besides a PC of course, but I've currently got a Pi for older consoles and I use a hacked Wii U for some N64 games and beyond that I can run most things natively one way or another. I might need to get a Dreamcast, though - never had one before!

Yeah, I'd really prefer a UK SNES/Super Famicom case. Does anyone know where I can get one for a similar price?

The best example I can find is this one that even has interchangeable cartridges - thingiverse.com/thi…366
But it's not for sale and I'd need a 3D printer to print one out - or I suppose I could find a place that does 3D prints for you and get a quote.

Does anywhere sell that variant though? I have the Nespi but I prefer the SNES (or potentially the N64 is we ever get a version like that).

    Very tempted at this price!
    Thanks for the post. Ordered!
euro version not down in price? been looking to make my own snes mini but i dont want the ugly version
Do not buy from this company, their products are very poor quality and they charge you to return even when the product is faulty and they are at fault - to China. Customer service is appalling and the goods are not worth having.
