Why the cold vote? Afterall, this is the same (low) price as the ongoing Sainsbury's offer.

I bought a pack of these today, there was a huge aisle-end stack of other Mars/Galaxy confectionery for £1 per pack. As well as the 5-Pack Snickers, the following were also on offer...

Big bags of Galaxy Minstrels - £1.00
4-Pack Galaxy Ripple - £1.00
4-Pack Galaxy Bubbles (looks like Aero/Wispa) - £1.00

All reduced from around £1.70 per pack IIRC.

What has Mr T. got to do with nuts?!?

Thought that would be obvious - he has nuts, more nuts than anyone out there. Eat a snickers and be like Mr T!
Or did the marketing go completely over you? :whistling:

What has exclusivity got to do with a deal being hot or not?

If it's available at more than one place then what's hot about it?

It's old news anyway, Sainsburys has been doing them for £1 for at least 2 weeks.

I don't understand your reasoning that for a deal to be hot it has to be sold at an exclusively low price by a single merchant, or that increasing the availability of a low-price deal (read below) would make a deal less worthy of heat?

What's hot about it? Because potentially more people can now get their hands on the deal as Tesco is a far larger supermarket chain than Sainsbury's; 1784 Tesco stores compared to just 792 Sainsbury's. For example, there are five Tesco's (2x Extra, 2x Express & 1x Superstore) that are nearer to where I live than my local Sainsbury's is. In matching the Sainsbury's deal, Tesco have trebled the number of stores from which you or I can buy a pack of five Snickers for £1. The availability of an already hot deal has been increased three-fold.
