I'm sure @Toon_army will be giving some good advice to this thread soon, and will give you some good ideas of what to purchase.
Bilt hamber have an amazing snowfoam and autoglym polar blast both great snowfoams

That's my experience, nice thick foam but very little cleaning.

I'm no detailer but I tried two or three snow foam brands inc this and thought it was a waste of efforr. Even though I've got quite a powerful Karcher k5, foam lance etc nothing shifts road grime like a wet sponge but all the stuff about grime being lifted off without touching never worked well for me. Car does look shiny though
I have this stuff, foams great. Just doesn’t clean as it should.
agreed, foams and smells great. Not cleaning as much asi it should. but for the price not as bad.
Autodirect Magifoam is the best thing I've used. The new AG polar blast with a drop of shampoo is also very good

Have you tried a good quality APC (All Purpose Cleaner) instead?

you just said no thanks to a brilliant product , no wonder nothing works for you...
For anyone who is interested in being successful in pre washing Bilt hamber has the the most effective snowfoam and apc I and most detailers have used, there’s been times where I haven’t done any contact washing for months just snowfoaming , using a powerful pressure washer is vital (min 130 bar) and correct mixture of products . Also it’s important to protect and seal (wax protection) your car so when you do come to prewashing the dirt and grime will find it difficult to bond to your car so when you do snowfoam it will be easier to lift of but if your paintwork is like sandpaper (no wax protection) it will be harder to lift off

Oddly for the first time in years I used this stuff today on 2 cars! It doesn't actually remove much and you have to sponge the car to get rid of grime. If you don't when the car dries after rinsing it looks pretty rubbish.

The whole point of snow foam is to soften and help remove as much dirt from the cars surface as possible before contact washing to avoid inflicting scratches to the paint.
So to use a snow foam and then use a sponge as your wash medium of choice for the contact wash just makes the snow foam pointless imo
Thanks for all the advice guys stay safe

I've left it to late to join the party never tried this stuff and dont think I would tbh. I'm happy with AG Polar and BH AutoFoam. I did once buy a 5l bottle from Ebay for super cheap to try for a laugh, ended up being really good but the seller disappeared
You get mixed reviews on this stuff to start as people don't use it right or expect it to clean your car without you even touching it.
