does it keep the drink hot?

I should imagine so
Are the actual mugs porcelain/ceramic or plastic? If the former, then this is definitely hot (or cold, depending what's inside!). The lid and grip looks silicone.
the grip is silicone, lid is plastic and it screws in. Cup is dual wall plastic. Keeps coffee hot for an hour but it's not like a thermos as it has nipple hole in lid. (what are those things called?) The lid screws in so the cup has grooves on the inside at the top which can be awkward when using as a proper mug but fine otherwise. Of course I've got one, I bloody love poundland!
debenhams.com/web…_-1 that said, I also have one of these and it is the best mug I have ever had, I use it as a proper mug as it keeps tea hotter than a 'normal' mug, but it also has a rubber bung inside so you can fill the wall with hot water and keep your hands warm and your coffee hot. It has a silicone slip on lid which is so handy. Worth splashing out on if you're feeling flush.
Thanks - will give this one a miss as can't stand drinking from plastic.

Bought my mum one on holiday in the summer but for less than that - I think Amazon are cheaper as well for these.

don't use plastics for hot drinks as plastics leach
